Tehran's District 22 Parks and Lake development includes an artificial lake, named Persian Gulf Martyrs Lake (aka Chitgar Lake), and three artificial islands: Abu Musa Martyrs Island with a span of 1.4 hectares, Greater Tonb Martyrs Island with a span of one hectare and Lesser Tonb Martyrs Island with a span of half a hectare. Above photo depicts construction development at the eastern part of Greater Tonb Martyrs Island.

What appears to be Hawksbill sea turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata), introduced into a Persian Gulf Martyrs Lake planned ecosystem. (Not sure how they'll fare with all the recreational watercraft activity on the urban artificial lake.)
