Iran and Oman signed an agreement on Wednesday to build a submarine gas pipeline across the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman at cost of about $1 billion. Iran will export 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year to Oman through the pipeline. The accord was signed during President Rouhani’s visit to Muscat. (IRNA, 13 March)
Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh told reporters in Muscat that no price has been agreed yet for the gas, which will come from Iran's giant North Pars field.
The pipeline will be 260 km (162 mile) long, which will link Iran’s Asaluyeh on Persian Gulf to Oman's Suhar port on Gulf of Oman, and is expected to come on line within three years. Oman will finance the entire cost of pipeline. Iran will pay its share through revenues generated form the sale of natural gas.

I never would have believed that one day a third rate country like Oman would finance a project for Iran. If this regime didn't make Iran so isolated and weak we could export gas from Iranian territory instead of building pipelines to countries like Oman so they can cream some of Iran's profits away. Iran will pay back Oman twenty times over or more for the cost of this project.

You do realise that pipelines are the most efficient and economical way of transporting/exporting gas dont you?,so you would prefer that iran build internal pipelines to loading docks and from there ship it out to oman by tanker?,thats a really costly and stupid way of doing it.Did you even bother reading the article?,it says oman will foot the bill, that means they pay for the construction, iran then gaurentees to sell them gas at a preferential rate, its what you call a win/win,but then I suspect thats your problem isnt it

Stop beating around the bush and just come out and say you are an apologist of the Islamic regime. Oman won't be doing it for free! They will receive twenty times or more in interest back from Iran for years to come. But I also suspect that's your problem, isn't it ?

So in other words you`re just another malcontent ranting against the government, how about you try and rebut anything I`ve said rather than the usual "its a bad deal because I hate the IRI".Of course oman isnt doing it for free, they`re doing it because they desperately need the energy, they`ve been trying to access irans gas reserves for the last decade
Anon 2:19 AM
When reading your ranting and using words like "malcontent" then I know that I correctly discribed you as a IRI apologist. Oman is not the one that is isolated and desperate. It is the Islamic regime which is desperately trying to sell Iran's gas at knock down prices to the Omani's. And the Omani's are clever enough to make huge profits at Iran's expense. But I guess that's alright by you being a IRI apologist for maintaining the Islamic regime at any cost including the rape of Iran.

Actually the omanis are the ones desperate for energy and have been trying to access irans gas for over a decade, however iran uses most of the gas it produces it certainly doesnt need to "desperately" sell it to anyone,if that was the case then why did the omanis offer to build the pipeline instead of iran if its so "isolated and desperate",you`re just another malcontent knocking everything the iri does and you have still failed to say anything that disproves my post of March 14, 2014 at 1:34 AM,next time focus on the facts rather than ranting about how you hate the iri and how bad it is
Anon 7:19 AM
The "facts" are that the thieving anti-Iran regime is desperately trying to market Iran's energy resources at knock down prices for the benefit of itself and their masters the energy cartel. Meanwhile a bunch of vexatious apologists peddle and spin nonsensical propaganda on behalf of the Islamic terrorists occupying Iran Zamin. These apologists have no shame when it comes to daily rapes, torture and murder committed against Iranians by the velih-e-faqih terrorist Ommati regime.

Yes,yes its all a big conspiracy by the evil mullahs, they`re conspiring to give away gas to oman for no other reason than to make the omanis rich because thats what evil mullahs do.Do you realise how increasingly ranting and irrational your posts have become?,and you have still not yet produced one single lone fact to support your so called "argument" or to disprove the facts in my posts.Your sole "argument",actually a rant,is "if the iri does it it must be bad" or "I hate the iri and anything they do".The great irony is that if it were any other type of government in iran you would no doubt be saying what a great deal this was, your problem lies with the government and you will have to learn to distinguish between the government and the deals it makes
Anon march 16 at 6:14 pm has issues too heavy for him, to carry. HE is in a very difficult condition because he allowed hate to consume and blind him totally killed his reasoning !. !-ITS not healthy to allow yourself to live in perpetual denial!.
As I said earlier,IRI Apologists have no shame when it comes to supporting a terrorist anti-Iran regime which uses rape, torture and murder against Iranian citizens. I refuse to take these vexatious twerps too seriously.
None of this has anything to do with the gas deal,so in other words you cant rebut any of the points I`ve made, you can only chant slogans about " rape, torture and murder " or how anyone who doesnt share your ideology is an "IRI Apologists"
Anon 3:02 AM
Yes it is all relevant for maintaining an anti-Iran regime when the terrorist occupiers are giving away Iran's energy resources to alien nations. Your "claims" are nothing but a view that an Apologist of the regime would hold, despite their economic mismanagment and thievery. Even if the terrorist regime gives away part of Iran like Azarbaijan to Baku republic an Apologist of the Ommati regime in Tehran would justify their actions with favor. Rapes, torture and murders are happening in the regimes dark dungeons and are not "slogans" or "your ideology" but unfortunate reality in todays Iran finiance by Iran's stolen energy resources. That's why Vexatious Apologists of the anti-Iran religious dictatorship can't be taken seriously because they are ideologically linked to the demonic theocracy in occupied Iran Zamin.

Do you even realise what a ranting ideologue you sound like
"anti-Iran regime"
"demonic theocracy"
"Rapes,torture and murders"
"regimes dark dungeons"
"Vexatious Apologists"
"blah,blah,blah etc..."
All you can do is mindlessly repeat the mantras of the malcontent. And you still have not rebutted a single solitary point I have made
