Iran’s interior ministry announced today that the elections for
Majlis will be held on Friday 18 March, 2008. The pragmatic/reformist block headed by Khatami-Hashemi-Karoubi troika is expected to challenge the fundamentalist block that currently controls the
Majlis and the presidency but lacks a unified leadership.
