Mir-Hussein Mousavi, a former Prime Minister known as a pragmatic politician. His government participated in the Algiers talks that led to the release of US hostages in 1981. Also known to have negotiated an end to terrorist operations in France in 1980s in exchange for a reduction of French support for Saddam during the eight-year Iran-Iraq war.
Ayatollah Mehdi Karrubi, a former speaker of Majlis. Karrubi is running as an outsider and the leader of the loyal opposition. He has put forward a liberal platform that includes equal distribution among all Iranian citizens the shares of the country’s oil and gas industry.

Much as I abhor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and sometimes his silly comments, for Iran and its rapid rise towards advanced technology ( I hear nano technology experts talk very highly about Iranian scientists), he is your man. You could say in a way that sanctions have been good for Iran no pun intended.
