Mohamed ElBaradei, director of International Atomic Energy Agency, arrived in Tehran today for talks with Iranian officials on a timetable for IAEA inspectors to visit the newly disclosed Qum uranium enrichment facility.
Iran agreed with six major powers in Geneva on Thursday to allow IAEA inspectors unfettered access to the plant.
Iran had also agreed “in principle” on Thursday to ship out 1,200 kg of its inventory of 1,500 kg enriched uranium for reprocessing in Russia and France. It would then be returned to be used in a Tehran reactor that makes medical isotopes.
