Ahmadinejad Calls September 11 a “Big Lie”

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today called the September 11 attacks on the Twin Towers in New York a “big lie” (“Dorough-e Bozorgh”). Speaking to the senior leadership of Iran’s Intelligence Ministry in Tehran, Ahmadinejad added that the US fabricated the event to justify its invasion of Afghanistan.

“The September 11 was a big lie and served as an excuse for the war against terrorism and a pretext for the invasion of Afghanistan,” Ahmadinejad said [IRNA, 6 March].

He told Iran’s intelligence officials that September 11 was a “complicated intelligence operation.”

Nearly 3,000 people died when Al Qaeda operatives hijacked airliners and attacked New York’s Twin Towers and the Pentagon.

Why the surprise? In the parallel reality world of Mr Ahmadinejad, where his halo transfixes the UN General Assembly, and the US is the main obstacle to the reappearance of the ‘Hidden Imam,’ many things are “lies.” There are no homosexuals in Iran, the US invaded Iraq to prevent the reappearance of the “Hidden Imam,” God created the universe for the sake of the Hidden Imam, the Holocaust is a myth, Iran’s nuclear dossier at the IAEA was “closed” in 2007, inflation in Iran is 11 percent and he really won the presidential election on June 11, 2009.

Cry, the beloved country.

To those agreeing with Ahmadinejad on this subject, I wish you were not anonymous so I could introduce you to people I personally know who lost their loved ones in Washington and New York. Does politics trumps all other considerations? Do we live in a world that can make us have such a callous attitude toward the killing of nearly 3,000 people? Why do we need to express our opposition to US government policies by making such outrageous statements with regards to so many lives lost? I am very disappointed.

You misunderstand Mr Uskowi, we all agree that on the 11 of Sep. 2001 over 3000 people died in NY.

What we, and other Anons, do not agree with is the "Who done it" aspect of it.
