Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of IRGC Space Command, said in Tehran today that IRGC forces have shot down two spy planes (unmanned reconnaissance drones) over the Persian Gulf. Gen. Hajizadeh made his remarks during a news conference in which he was boasting about Iran’s air defense capabilities. He did not provide dates or any other details, and his claims could not be immediately verified.
“We have shot down two of their (enemy's) planes over the Persian Gulf, and this is the first time we are disclosing it,” said Gen. Hajizadeh [Fars News Agency, 2 January].
I love the word "claim"
ReplyDeleteWhen the US CLaims to have killed dozens of alkaeda then its reported as a fact. (although without proof)
It is important to see too, there is no negation from the US navy forces about iranian forces claims.
ReplyDeleteUS ,Israel Iran and middleast countries must persue peace.
If the USA reported actual figures of enemy killed in action the world would claim genocide is taking place.
ReplyDeleteThat is why the USA military "LOW BALLS" the numbers.
They are in the business of killing and business is very very very good!
Anon 9:04 AM,
ReplyDeleteWhen a general officer calls a news conference and in the middle of the session say nonchalantly that his forces has shot down 2 spy planes over the Persian Gulf without giving any details, the nationality of the planes, the dates, etc., one needs to treat it not as fact but as claim. This is not the way to treat such an important news.
that is already confirmed by pentagon.
ReplyDeleteThey claimed it was mechanic failure
