Stuxnet Crucial in Iran Nuclear Delay – New York Times

According to a report published in today’s issue of The New York Times, Israel tested the effectiveness of Stuxnet worm on centrifuges virtually identical to those used at Iran’s uranium enrichment facility in Natanz and the destructive worm has since wiped out a fifth of Natanz centrifuges, delaying Iran’s nuclear program and its ability to build a bomb. The report strongly suggests that the virus was designed as an Israeli-American project to sabotage the Iranian program.

The worm itself was designed to send the Iranian centrifuges “spinning widely out of control,” the report says. The worm was also designed to “secretly record” Natanz normal operations and plays back the readings to Natanz operators so it would appear that “everything was operating normally” while the centrifuges were spinning out of control.

  1. What is striking bout this article is the suggestion that Dimona complex in the Negev desert is indeed a joint US/Israel facility for both production of WMD and testing of the new weapons to prevent other middle eastern nations access to peaceful nuclear technology.

Overall I found this article rather over sensationalized. The IAEA 2009-2010 report on the rate of enriched fuel production indicates that the damage, if any, was small and insignificant. What is more significant is the fact that the variants of the Stuxnet can easily be manufactured by cyber criminals or Al-Queda like organizations to target civilian infrastructures and even life saving equipment.

“Mr. Langner is among the experts who expressed fear that the attack had legitimized a new form of industrial warfare, one to which the United States is also highly vulnerable.”

  2. NY times and Washington Post are not neutral newspapers.
They are owned and run by AIPAC people, or at least pro-Israel, meaning at least anti-Iranian.
However, every word uttered by them is supposed to confuse and is 100% not true.

    Its dissinformation.

  3. This "Stuxnet" virus is more of a US/Zionist psy-ops than reality. They are trying various methods to derail Iranian progress, namely murder of its scientists and academics, bribes for defectors (not very successful so far) and multi-pronged propaganda and disinformation campaign. I don't believe it will work as Iran has built redundant safety layers. The ship of Iranian nuclear technology has left the port, much to the chagrin of the US/Zionist cabal and the telephone booth sized "international community".

  4. Russia warns of ‘Iranian Chernobyl'

Russian nuclear officials have warned of another Chernobyl-style nuclear disaster at Iran's controversial Bushehr reactor because of the damage caused by the Stuxnet virus, according to the latest Western intelligence reports.

  5. Hilarious to hear so many in denial. Keep believing your own false lies and we will keep delivering Stuxnet. But remember, it's all Zionist lies and it never happened.

  6. the desperation to have some verification for the stuxnet worm success seems important.

Now they declare it a success to justify their chickening out of an escalation in the stand off.

Stuxnet is just a virus that can be neutralized the minute its existance is proven. (

Its all a tam tam don't take them seriously.
