The International Institute for Strategic Studies, the influential British think tank and an authority on political-military conflict, reported today that evidence showed “beyond reasonable doubt” that Iran was seeking the capability to produce nuclear weapons and could make its first nuclear weapon in as little as one to two years if it wished.
The 128-page report on Iran’s nuclear, chemical and biological capabilities said that Iran’s nuclear program seemed to have been dented by Stuxnet computer worm. It also singled out industrial sabotage and Iran’s reliance on inefficient methods as contributing factor in the slow down of the nuclear program, but it said the program is advanced enough to have the capability of producing weapons in less than two years.
"The minimum timeline for the first weapon is over two years under the Pakistan method and one year for the batch method," the report said. Developing a means to deliver a nuclear weapon -- a missile -- added to the timeline, it said.
The report discounted concerns over Iran’s chemical and biological programs, founding no evidence that Iran had carried out chemical or biological weapons activities.
If Iran had wanted to it would and could have in 1999.
ReplyDeleteIran is capable now and has been capable for a decade now.
The political will is not there.
Lets stop playing this stupid old game.

every 3.5 weeks comes some wanker along and claims Iran to be just around the corner of a Bomb.
ReplyDeleteIts all a (for the stupid)considered diversion of attention.
Its always greate to be reminded how insulting Rupert Murdoc actually is.
Another JOKE "prediction". This circus keeps getting better as the Zionists/US desperately try to deflect attention from the falling puppet dominoes fall in the region.
ReplyDeleteIran's nuclear program is a bridge to far as the enemies of Iran have tried every insidious tactic and FAILED. Iran Payandebad.

ReplyDeleteThe purpose of this blog is to carry serious conversations on the subjects important to our knowledge of the country from different points of view. But we ask our readers who care to comment on our posts to stay with the subject matter of the respective post, refrain from personal attacks and use professional language. One can do all that and still defends his point of view, actually it make the argument stronger.
ReplyDeleteThe Iranian leaders keep saying that the country is now a nuclear state, capable of enriching uranium, producing uranium plates and rods, and the world needs to recognize the realities. IISS report says Iran can produce a bomb within 2 years if it wishes. IISS is not saying they will build the bomb, but that they can do if they wish. Aren’t they saying same thing? If Ahmadinejad says it, it is a manifestation of the Iranian power, but if IISS says it is Zionist propaganda. This is not analysis, it is taking side with the Islamic Republic no matter what the issues are and regardless if they are right or not.

ReplyDeleteYou should understand that US/IISS is a tube of Zionist propaganda and as such they always lie. On the other hand Ahmadinejad fights imperialistic US and terrorist Zionist entity so it is always right.//sarcasm off
Iran most probably has the industrial, and intellectual capacity to produce a nuclear weapon as soon as they decide they want one.
ReplyDeleteThis is not the problem, a lot of other non-nuclear states possess this capability, eg, Japan. Even if Iran stopped enriching Uranium this intellectual, industrial capacity wouldn't just disappear.
The problem is US/Western/Israeli propaganda casting Iran as a uniquely evil, unstable, irrational, international villain, unable to be trusted with such potentially lethal knowledge and capability.
Looks like Nader Uskowi's anti-Iran rants and pathetic censorship of facts has much credibility as Mobarak's and Saddam's propaganda machine. The simple fact is that deleting relevant posts and pro-Iran facts only knows the juvenile nature of this blog and the totally made up "news" on Iran. I wonder how much is paid for by Langley to spread this idiocy. Feel free to censor for amusement. No sacrcasm here. LOL.

ReplyDeleteyou are totally out of order. no intelligent person would make such insulting and ridiculous comments. you're obviously a stooge sent here by your masters to pollute this blog. report to them that your attempts have failed, and either apologize to Nader for your craven behavior or crawl back under the rock you came from. or better still; seek some professional help.
It seems ridiculous to accuse this blog of being zionist propaganda when nearly all comments support iran on this post:P... anyways producing a bomb doesn't seem like a thing you do overnight, though the iranians might have most of the theoretical knowledge to build one. my guess would be that you need more practical testing to actually build an efficient nuke...though i guess one could buy this knowledge(korea's nuke is only as powerful the one launched on hiroshima.. still more testing needed there)
ReplyDeleteiran has knowledge of nuclear bomb from 1961 that is not new all documment is available when the shah has left iran from 1979 the rest has been contineud by revolutionary gard from 1980 to up to day to make the bomb is not issue it is the semplest thing to doit to use it in many other form for development that make usa and the world capitalised worry much because of multibilion dollers profit will be lost in next decat so theirefor they worry of new commer in them door step aggresively push himself forward and iran is not far behind them on apple to apple just the color is deferent that make them nervoues to see the reality of technology break true.my oppenion is/ iran had made at least 60 to 90 nuclear bomb fron 1990 to 1996 and stop it all to focuse to deferrent varaity of reaserch.
