UPDATE: As our readers have pointed out, the You Tube video was not of the crash of the Tu-154, as the title suggests, but of an IL-76 “Simorgh” on 22 September 2009. The crash happened during a practice for a military air show. The refueling plane could not be a C-130, but a Boeing 707 or 747. We sincerely apologize for the error in reporting earlier that the plane was the Tu-154, and I take full responsibility for it.

It is not new or emerging this week and it is the simorgh awacs and not the airliner.

Clearly this is not the video the title claims. This video is of the crash of the IL-76 AEW aircraft (called Simorgh by Iran) several years ago while practicing for an Air Show (hence the F-4E in the video!). There is no reason a civilian Tu-154 would be in the same video as two military aircraft since the IRIAF does not use the TU-154 for anything. This video has popped up elsewhere on the net but the title is 100% False!

This video is of the IL-76 AEW crash from several years ago not of a Tu-154 crash. This video was originally posted on the web earlier this year under the proper title. The IL-76 "Simorgh" crashed during practice of a military parade/air show hence why the F-4 is in the shot. Also Iranian C-130 are not capable of air to air refueling, they have a fleet of Boeing 707 and 747s for that job. In other words, the entire story "claimed" by the idiot on Youtube is completely BUNK.
And, You still are mistaken: the video can not be shot out of a Boeing, 707 nor 747, because both have no cargo door in the back. It probably was filmed out of a C-130, Scotty09 just tried to remind you that no tanker C-130 exists that could have taken part in this event.
The refuelers have a camera and window where the boom operator sits. This was not filmed from a cargo ramp.
I saw the original, and American accents were screeming "Shit".. what happened !
