Iran Intelligence Minister Warns of Attempts to Change Established Order

Alliance of Greens and Circles Close to Ahmadinejad Opposing Supreme Leader

Iran’s Minister of intelligence Hojatoleslam Moslehi addressing the Assembly of Experts said the “seditionists” (supporters and the Green Movement) and “deviationists” (a political circle close to President Ahmadinejad) have secretly formed an alliance for the upcoming parliamentary elections in early March. He called the new alliance the most complex problem facing the Nezam (“established order”).

“The Ministry of Intelligence is highly vigilant and it will not allow this alliance (of seditionists and deviationists) to derail the Majlis elections,” Hojatoleslam Moslehi said [ISNA, 6 September].

“The seditionists and the deviationists, each with its own peculiarities, are working to seriously undermine the established order and Velayat Faghih (the rule by supreme leader),

“The seditionists and the deviationists regard winning the parliamentary and the presidential elections as the only path to change the established order,

“They are capitalizing on people’s grievances, they are using scare tactics, and they are calling for normalization of relations with the US as means to find support among the public,

“They are opposing the policies of the supreme leader, emphasizing ultra nationalism, emphasizing so-called modernity, emphasizing the defeat of Islam and the cleric (in governing the country),

“By using a reformist language, they are trying to gather the support of all the reformists in the country,” Hojatoleslam Moslehi said [ISNA, 6 September].

Even some parts of the regime have realized that the Islamic battery is finished and cannot be recharged hence their games regarding Iranian nationalism but unfortunately for them it's also to late because the Iranian nation have grown suspicious towards their motives.

the warning amounts to nothing more than a threat to the Iranian voters that their will, as are their votes, is without meaning to the regime.

only the will and the ideas of those at the top of the pyramid matter...and any vote for changing that will be met with contempt or violence.

a revolution that promised freedom from a horribly corrupt aristocracy has brought nothing more than a horribly corrupt theocratic despotism.

The report stated:

"They are capitalizing on people’s grievances, they are using scare tactics, and they are calling for normalization of relations with the US as means to find support among the public"

Exactly people want change. Even the minister realises that!

“They are opposing the policies of the supreme leader, emphasizing ultra nationalism, emphasizing so-called modernity, emphasizing the defeat of Islam and the cleric (in governing the country)

The above are all good for the country. What is wrong with loving your country (as opposed loving Islam)? What is wrong with modernity compared to dark ages and finally the hell with Islam and this barbaric religion!!

choosing the phrae “established order” for "Nezam" was a very bad choice.

Yes it's true after all the Theocracy
is very paranoid and even accusing their own so called moderates of insurrection this is truly the end for this regime with Khamenei siting in his bunker taking daily medication
to calm his shattered nerves down.

But don't worry Khamenei the people who truly oppose you are not the supporters of the minority Green movement because freedom has no colour but the Iranian masses who are sick of your regimes blatant hatred of the Iranian civilization.

Just reading about Gaddafi and the looted cash and gold gone across the border into Niger. Funny kind of reminds me of 2009 when the shyster Khamenei sent a trunk full of cash and gold about $18.5 billion into Turkey for safe keeping against the Iranian people.

Well you know where the Intelligence
minister could go holidaying too.

The intell. Minister will give the ppl another messages:
He will tell them that they ( greens mashaei and co. company ) are well known what the youth want and just promising things that arenot possible from one day to another...they just want the voices to get more influence that means power and power in iri means u can stole the ppl wealth...
They just want to get the privileges that the akho0nds have...and then the ppl. will get really angry with the sys. and overthrow it!
So he is warning the ppl to not trust in such statements of them... Remember all of them even mousavi are the establishment of these regime...what I mean is maybe they want a change but not a change that will help ppl. otherwise they had there chances but they fails..

Anon 6:59 PM, What alternative do you suggest?

Is he suggesting that people have no right to change the system (nezam) through  democratic means?  The will of the people is second to the will of a few mullas?

The vaning influence of the Iranian clergy is just what I've been expecting.
The clergy simply hasn't the right answers on contemporary problems of Iran.
Nontheless, Iran should take care to not abandon its muslim cultural heritage. There must be found a compromise to also keep the traditional religious forces integrated into the political process to a certain degree.
Political modernism can easily lose its moral compass and forget about the needs of the poor and the sacrifices of the elderly, which only enabled modern Iran to develop so rapidly and successfully.

@Steve

Muslim cultural heritage ?
How about our Iranian cultural heritage which is far older and superior compared to the Islamic one.

No Steve we fully experienced the Muslim culture of the Arabian dessert and it tastes rotten lets go back to our old Iranian roots the true cultural heritage of Iranians.

Yes, muslim heritage.
Since more than 1300 years Persia (nowadays Iran) is muslim.
There is no "Iranian cultural heritage" as modern Iran is only existing since about 100 years.
The last non-muslim rulers of Iran were the Sassanids, which were ruling 224–651 AD. Their empire was called "Eranshar".
If you mean that era, you could refer to as "Persian or Sassanid cultural heritage".

Really Steve 100 years do you know what your talking about when I say Iranian culture because you think Iran vanished since the Muslim invasion.
Iran has never excepted Islam willingly as you can see now Iranian version of Islam is different to Arab and Turkish beliefs. The Safavids changed Iran from Sunni to Shia to reinforce Iran's position against the Turks and Iran was never called Persia but Iran by the Iranians.Only the west called Iran Persia due to the Greeks because PARS in central Iran where old capital used to be.
That name changed in the 1930s to Iran due to Reza Shah in the western media and political exchanges.

The Iranian or Sassanid cultural heritage still survived to this day in Iran one of them is called NouRooz which is pre-Islamic and is celebrated throughout the Iranian cultural region and more so now in Iran due to Islamic fascist regimes refusal to except old Iranian culture.

Note:Iran is Iranian first not Muslim we are not Arab and our culture predates Muslim ideology and still survives in our nation.
Islam wanted to and still wants to white wash Iran's history and mould it to their will but it wont succeed.

like it or not, Islam is part of Iran after a thousand years. it's far from being the greater part of Iran's identity, but it's not insignificant either, especially with the theocrats running things (into the ground).

ask the Turks about how hard it is to expunge the hold of religion from political life.

Yes I know Islam is part of our history unfortunately but thankfully our country is aware hopefully that Islam isn't be all to end all as the saying goes.

The regime is trying to white wash Iran's pre-Islamic history and glorify the post conquest Islamic one.
Don't forget that our previous Zoroastrian religion before the invasion of Islam was with us for nearly 1600 years compared to 1400 years of Islam today.

Note:It's only in the past 400 years or so that the Shia faith was introduced to the masses in Iran by the Safavid so none of this is cast in stone.
Religion is an idea a belief Iran's history is strangely similar to Britain's as regards the change over of religion.Britain due to king Henry 8th from catholic to Protestant and Iran due to Safavid from Sunni to Shia.
Although Britain is a Christian country their people don't regard religion playing a important part in every day society and after what the mullahs have achieved in alienating our people hopefully that will happen in Iran too.

i know what you mean about the fools in charge. The regime not only persecutes everyone who doesn't accept the small and ugly interpretation that is the official religion, but also seek to label "indecent" everything that's outside of their view.....even poems

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/MH19Ak02.html

----"The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance decided that some parts of the epic poem Khosrow and Shirin by Nezami Ganjavi needed reworking, despite the fact that the book-length masterpiece has been a classic of Iranian literature for 831 years."---

First being Iranian is defined by a state of mind, not by a place of residence. The barbaric Islamist mullahs and their mercenaries presently ruling Iran are not Iranians.

They are Islamofascists who have betrayed their magnificent heritage and have enlisted themselves in the service of a most oppressive, discriminating, and demeaning ideology.

Iranians are proud spiritual descendants of King Cyrus the Great, the author of the first charter of human rights. Some of Cyrus’ children live in the patch of land called Iran.

A case in point is the present menace posed by some people in Iran whose life is programmed by the software of Islam: an ideology anathema to the Cyrus Charter. And the results are self-evident. Hate, superstition, violence, and a raft of other inhuman beliefs drives these religious fascists.

There is no place for this twisted ideology in Iran!!
