Khamenei: Splitting Palestine is Doomed to Fail

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected the Palestinians' UN statehood bid, and asked Palestinians not to limit the State of Palestine to pre-1967 borders: “All land belongs to Palestinians,” Khamenei declared.

“Any plan that seeks to divide Palestine is totally rejected,” Ayatollah Khamenei told the “5th International Conference on Palestinian Intifada” held in Tehran on Saturday.

“The two-state scheme, which has been clad in the self-righteousness of the acceptance of the Palestinian government and membership at the United Nations, is nothing but a capitulation to the demands of the Zionists or the recognition of the Zionist regime on Palestinian land,” Khamenei added [Fars News Agency, 1 October].

“Governments that host Zionist embassies or economic bureaus cannot advocate support for Palestine," Khamenei said in an apparent reference to post-Mubarak Egypt.

Khamenei also harshly criticized President Obama for his policies on Israel.

“The US president says that Israel's security is his red line. What has drawn this red line? The interests of the American nation or Obama's need for the money and support of Zionist companies to secure his second term as the US president?” Khamenei said.

Didn't you know there is no such thing as a Iranian government but a Palestinian government that rules Iran?

  10. These people don't give a damn about Iran only Palestinian.
To them a Palestinian life is worth 1000 Iranian lives.
They spend our money on Palestinian schools while our schools are in disrepair.
They spend our money on Hezbollah and their family's while our workers don't get payed for months while their family's are starving.
They spent billions in Lebanon in the 2006 mini war and the reconstruction of parts of Beirut while parts of earth quake and war damage Iran is still in ruins.
This regime came to power on a Palestinian Platform and had an agenda of using Iran as a base for Palestinian and Arab causes meanwhile keeping Iranians down in a state of poverty and hunger and hopelessness while they and their family's live in riches the hypocrites.
In fact the sooner this nasty hypocritical regime disappears the sooner the Iranian nation can breath a sigh of relief.

Agreed. 40% of the nation lives under absolute poverty. People often work during the day and drive taxis in the evening to make ends meet and this mob is wasting money on mosakhrafat such as this Palestinian issue or International festival of Koran. The country is isolated from the world. The regimes friends are a bunch of psuedo terrorist states like Syra, North Koread etc and they are pumping money to Lebanon and Hamas.

The sooner these bozos go the better

  12. These comments prove that the issue is not really about Iran, bu more about a dislike of Islam. Well, unfortunately for these commenters Iran is like 99% Muslim, although Iranians in the West may only be 50% or so? Muslim.

Damn right it's about Islam because it's the representatives of Islam that have ruined the country since the so called revolution.

You should realize that Iran comes first not Islam but Iran. That means that people like you should mind their own business and stay out of peoples lives and for the mullahs to go back to their Mosques so that we can deal with them later.

Italy is 99.9 percent Christian doesn't mean that they should have the Vatican rule the country or that they put gallows and hang people in squares.

Religion should be a private affair not a public circus or a business run by supposed holy men but in reality a bunch of gangsters who use religion to crush mans soul and deceitfully use the gullible for their crimes.

For your information Iranians in IRAN have seen the true face of Islam and have washed their bodies with the soap of Islam and now after 1400 years have realized they can no longer trust those charlatans.

I leave the rest to your imagination of the possible consequences for the future of Islam in Iran as it stands today.

Trust me nothing stands still for ever including religion.

  14. I could not care less for either of them, (Isra-Palestine).

But if I were to give a toss, I would not bet on Israels good will

I don't think an entity such as Israel can survive for too long, its artificial and it costs too much.

one can not force a change in history and justify not only existance but occupation and war crimes.

doomed to fail, regardless of it having the corporate media on its side. On the streets, rules the waves of anti Israelism... like it or not.

No. It;s not about Islam. It's about some nasty people who decide to use religion to their own ends, people who say "this is what everyone must believe" and then use the power of the state to compel conformity rather than allowing people to use their own minds and hearts.

Christian nations did this sort of thing, long ago, and it was finally rejected. It was ugly then and it was ugly under Christianity.

It is ugly now and in iran.

Totally agree with both of you.
Religion in Iran is being used by criminals in disguise under the name of religion.

You don't sound like an Iranian to me because you mention Muslim several times.
You could be an Afghan or a Pakistani because they are obsessed with being a Muslim first.
If these comments are not about Iran then what the hell is it about?
So what if Iran is 99 percent Muslim they are still Iranian first and Muslim last.
And being Muslim doesn't mean that we have to except the crap that the mullahs are dishing us in the name of Allah.
Then you babble about Iranians that live in the West are only 50 percent Muslim therefor they aren't Iranians because they are not Muslim!
I don't know which school you've been too but I do know that they didn't teach you right.

  18. Splitting Palestine already has failed. Since it was done in 1948, the result has been nothing but conflicts and cost to the rest of the world. Particularly America, whose reputation in the world has been damaged by its biased, slavish support of one side in the conflict (the zionist regime); the billions upon billions of its taxpayers' dollars given away to the zionist regime and the many Americans killed and maimed by the ungrateful zionists. Ever heard of the USS Liberty?
