The Washington Post reported on Sunday that IAEA will say in its upcoming report that Iran has mastered the critical steps needed to build a nuclear weapon. The IAEA report, to be issued this week, will also point to crucial technical assistance by foreign experts, including former Soviet specialists, to Iran’s nuclear research program, the Post reported.
Contrary to the findings of US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) published in 2007, the IAEA report, relying on intelligence received from its member nations, will suggest that Iran continued to conduct weapons-related nuclear research after 2003.
Iran has consistently denied that its nuclear program has nuclear weapon and military dimensions and insists that it is enriching uranium to power reactors for electricity generation. The West suspects that Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons under cover of a civilian nuclear energy program.
the “evidence” leaked so far appears fairly minimal even as it is being touted as particualrly damning. Reports will allege that Iran has conducted some computer simulations of nuclear explosions.
ReplyDeleteThe physical evidence, to the extent it can be called that, are a “large steel container” at a military base outside of Tehran which is believed to have been used for high explosive testing.
Which might conceivably have something to do with a nuclear weapon, but since the container is on the base used for research into explosives and missiles, might also be totally unrelated to anything but conventional weaponry.
The leaks are mostly a new excuse to insist that most of the world, including many Sunni Arab regimes around Israel, are all in favor of attacking Iran. At the same time all this new “evidence” emerges, the IAEA is expected to once again verify the non-diversion of nuclear material to any military purpose.

It looks like the drums of war are getting louder and louder and there are some (both in Iran and outside) who are asking for it. With the threat level raised almost daily, this actually could acually leave Iran with no option but going nuclear.
ReplyDelete"The United States has long been garrisoning Iran’s surroundings with sophisticated weapons and military capabilities. Aside from two long and unnecessary wars directly to Iran’s east and west, the US has patrolled a fleet of Navy warships off the Iranian coast in the Persian Gulf and regularly sends significant amounts of security assistance to nearly all of Iran’s neighboring countries including Turkey, Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan ... " (see more on this at http://news.antiwar.com/2011/11/05/leaked-statements-on-iaea-claim-iran-has-covert-nuclear-weapons-program/ )
There'll be NO WAR.Simple!! What's happening is is the tried and tested procedure to getting sanctions on Iran. This BIG price here is Iran's Central Bank.Which Obama has failed to convince even his tag-along stooges in Europe to go along with it.
ReplyDeleteIn this shell game, Israel pretends she's going to attack and then warns the US/West to act/hold her back or else!!!
The US/West turn on Russia/China to go along with sanctions in order to prevent and Israeli 'attack'.It's called the MAD DOG theory.Once sanctions is put in place. All this rhetoric die down and the routine is repeated between 2 - 3 years.
I think it's fallen flat this time because nobody's buying it. To think that a tiny country like Israel with 7 - 8 million people will attack another country 10 - times their size and population is just beyond stupidity/madness. Truth is, they can't and won't but will try to get the West to do - which they won't because they're also broke. So the the sanctions route seem to be the only option left on the table - that too is not working anymore.
Interesting times...
Its a Blackmail from US/UK/Israel on th rest of the world.
ReplyDeleteEither join on sanctions or we drag you into another war.
This is bad Karma for those 3 states.
ME falling apart to Irans advantage and now everyone realizing the level of nonsense that keeps pouring out from these corners.
No Respect and no one fears them anymore. a wonderful sign
Bless Iran that kickstarted all this 30 years ago.

ReplyDeleteThat tiny country called Israel has over 200 nuclear weapons which could easily flatten Iranian infrastructure and send it back into the stone age.
As for the US the mullahs would wish they had never baited them because it would mean curtains for the Islamic regime.
Therefor the only one that has fallen flat is the Islamic regime because of their stubborn and very stupid pig headed and ignorant policies.
"IAEA report to say Iran nearing nuclear capability"
ReplyDeleteThis report is a blatant lie.
In reality Iran is not 'nearing' nuclear capability, it IS already nuclear, since a long time (since at least 2 years, to be exact).
My advice to the zionists:
Face it, get used to it, make the best of it.
All you ever can get is a 'cold peace', guaranteed by mutually assured destruction.
