President Warns Against Premature Strike by Israel
President Barack Obama said in an interview published by The Atlantic magazine on Friday that he means it when he insists it's unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
Obama told The Atlantic magazine that Iran and Israel both understand that “a military component” is one of a mix of many options for dealing with Iran, along with sanctions and diplomacy.
“I think that the Israeli government recognizes that, as president of the United States, I don't bluff,” he said in the interview. "I also don't, as a matter of sound policy, go around advertising exactly what our intentions are. But (both) governments recognize that when the United States says it is unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear weapon, we mean what we say.”
Obama also warned that a premature strike by Israel might inadvertently help Iran.
“At a time when there is not a lot of sympathy for Iran and its only real ally (Syria) is on the ropes, do we want a distraction in which suddenly Iran can portray itself as a victim?”

This is an Uncle Tom usual double speak and a reflection of his massers voice and an acknowledgement that the rapid Zionist mongrel mutt strutting on deadbeat US taxpayer money and weapons SIMPLY DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO ATTACK IRAN. The US/UK/Zionist and Salafi pup coalition of eternal LOSERS also took a thumping in Syria as the Syrian Pink Panthers (4th Div Special Forces)under Major General General Maher al Assad soundly defeated the foreign mercenaries at minimum loss and literally ran them out of town.
ReplyDeleteUS is suffering one defeat after another in the region from Af-pak to Iran and oil (the lusted manna for bankrupt dying US economy) heads over $120 and the there is unease in the trailer parks. US knows full well that a war in the region will bring the whole house of cards down and the Zionist criminals usurping Palestine are history.
Obama is simply the dancing monkey of Zionism and AIPAC. Any new Republican clown would do the same huffing and puffing for FOX/CNN zio-media.

ReplyDeleteI certainly hope that the Iranian leaders would not think the same as you do. Obama’s interview with the Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg is probably the most important of his presidency on Iran. His “I am not bluffing” point is the boldest statement every come put of Obama White House on the determination of the US government to stop Iran from building the bomb.
The interview is also a warning to Israel not to attack Iran now. With saying “I am not bluffing,” Obama in essence is guaranteeing that Israel does not need to act unilaterally against Iran, it should let the sanctions regime work, and there would be a US determination if the sanctions would not work. These are important points that I hope the policymakers in Tehran take into account in their calculations of their nuclear program.
For the U.S., the definition of 'bluffing' is 'barking'.
ReplyDeleteWhile for Israel, it is absolutely means 'beating the empty drum of war'
Read my lips, the US is bankrupt, tired of military overstretch, decaying economy and massive social unrest at home kept in check by a ruthless police state that runs torture chambers, Gitmo, renditions and wiretapping not to mention spying on Muslims and Iranians.
ReplyDeleteLet us not fool ourselves, an attack on Iran is simply militarily impossible by the Zionists since their F-15i and F-16i lack the weapons systems, aerial refueling and loitering capacity to hit at least two dozen sites in Iran. Even if they did, by the time they are shot down and chased out of Iranian airspace they will have no "country" to land in. Where do you think the Zionists are going to refuel in mid-air for a strike package of 100 plus aircraft while be tracked real-time by Iran, Russia, Turkey, China and a host of other nations?
DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT IRAN WILL SIT BACK AND LET ITSELF BE ATTACKED? There are three major Iranian ELINT monitoring stations in Lebanon and recently upgraded Russian-equipped Middle East electronic and surveillance stations – on Jabal Al Harrah south of Damascus opposite Zionist occupied Sea of Galilee, and Lebanon’s Mt. Sannine. They give Iran real-time early warning of a US or Israeli attack.
The minimum flying distance even via midget pimpdoms of Jordan and Saudi are at least ONE HOUR ETA at Latitude, 35.6961111. Longitude, 51.4230556. So you guys seriously believe that the IRIAF and the thousands of Shahabs and Sejils will be taking a nap while the 100 plus Zionist aircraft (even if they could) are slowly vectoring over the gigantic Iranian airspace. And Hezbollah with 80,000 plus missiles would be singing Dixie while the Zionist planes take-off on the most publicized "attack" in world history.LOL. Might as well send Iran an email, chocolate and roses as well before they take-off on a doomed mission and road to hell.
Come on fantasy is one thing but FACTS are another.
It would be good to read some real news on this blog like:
ReplyDeleteIndia begins use of Chabahar port in Iran despite international pressure
India remains undeterred by US and EU pressure to stop importing Iranian oil, indicating clearly that it would continue to be driven by its own domestic interests in the matter.
India helped build Chabahar a decade ago to provide it access to Afghanistan and Central Asia- banned by neighbouring nuclear rival Pakistan- and is involved in constructing a 560-mile long rail line from the Zabul iron ore mines in southern Afghanistan to the Iranian port.
Along with Iran and Afghanistan it also has an agreement to accord Indian goods, headed for Central Asia and Afghanistan preferential treatment and tariff reductions at Chabahar, an arrangement it plans to exploit imminently.
A defiant India was also dispatching a large trade delegation to Iran later this month to explore business opportunities created by Western sanctions.

ReplyDeleteAlthough Obama's statement shouldn't be dismissed as insignificant, I remind you that his predecessor made a similar statement about North Korea and we all know how that turned out.
Do you know the tale about the shepherd who cried wolf?
ReplyDeleteWe heard too much times that the war is in the doorstep, but not this became reality, the real steps are the economic sanctions, the diplomatic, monetary, and cultural isolation, and the special forces sabotages.
After the permanent war cry they can say that these steps are "moderated" and "peacefully", because they might as well have attacked them.
I believe the permanent repeating of the hot war is just a tool to legalize the cold war against Iran.
If anyone had any doubt, this is a confirmation that Obama is truly an idiot.
ReplyDeleteHis "look tough for AIPAC" stunts will land him in an unwinnable and catastrophic war that the US will never recover from. In fact, it will further Iran's ultimate goal of driving the US out of the region.
If it was only bombs that could win wars, the US will still not be in Afghanistan fighting against mountain goat herders by now.
I take Obama's statement as mere PR stunt to divert public attention from the fact that his actions/inactions have caused oil prices to rise to stupid levels.
Obama, bullshit you can believe in!!! God bless America. Curse the rest of the 'uncivilized' world ;)
This is proof the US installed theocracy.
ReplyDeleteObama is not bluffing alright by selling 120 thousand tons of wheat to Iran he is showing how the US all along has supported this US installed regime in Tehran.
By supplying this wheat the US(theocracies masters)have prevented food riots in Iran and have saved the Islamic regime for another day.

Correction: For the U.S., the definition of 'not bluffing' is 'barking'.
ReplyDeleteObama is bluffing and anonymous is generally correct in his/her comments on this issue.First of all, the US would need to have a military buildup to initiate any set of serious strikes on iran's nuclear or military facilities. After the war in Iraq and the current afghanistan, Iran seems to know the US doesn't have the stamina for a new, grave war with Iran. get serious guys, If the US really had the means and intent, it would have put them in action. They haven't because they can't. The Us economy will defnitely go into a serious recession to say the least, troops in afghanistan will die in the thousands, and the Us wil not be able to contain Iran in that war.
ReplyDeleteBuildup? It's called an aircraft carrier. Get some.
Delete"And you are an idiot..Who installed you here?"
ReplyDeleteA definition of an idiot is a person who can't be educated and is ill mannered and self inflicted with naivety.
You obviously fit those requirements.
@ mat
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't any funnier the second time.
don't criticize mat for not being funny......mat is often quite funny.....it's only when mat intends to be funny that abject failure ensues.
ReplyDeleteiran is not iraq. dont treat iran like you treated iraq before. dont waste tax payers' money for the war that wouldn't gurantee you will win.lastly war is NOT good to us. it just bring missery
ReplyDelete'WORLD CONSIDER US, ISRAEL THREAT NOT IRAN: CHOMSKY
ReplyDeleteSun Mar 4, 2012 1:53PM GMT
American scholar Noam Chomsky says the world does not accept the US portrayal of Iran as an “imminent threat” to global peace, and that Washington and Tel Aviv are instead seen as greater evils.
“There is little credible discussion of just what constitutes the Iranian threat, though we do have an authoritative answer, provided by US military and intelligence. Their presentations to Congress make it clear that Iran doesn’t pose a military threat,” Chomsky wrote in his latest article titled “What Are Iran’s Intensions?” published Friday.
Chomsky added that even "the majority of Americans" recognized Iran’s right to its nuclear energy program before Washington officials and media launched a “massive propaganda onslaught” against the Islamic Republic over the past two years.
He added that presently powerful countries like Russia, China, India, and 120 member nations of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) oppose the US policy on Iran.
“Western commentary has made much of how the Arab dictators allegedly support the US position on Iran, while ignoring the fact that the vast majority of the population opposes it-a stance too revealing to require comment,” he said.
Instead, Chomsky said, “Europeans regard Israel as the greatest threat to world peace,” and in the Arab world he added, “Israel and the US are regarded as the pre-eminent threat.”
mat--- not very many people at all agre with Chomsky....the world is entirely unhappy with the idea of a nulear-armed Iran.

Do you really think that Iran gives a damn about the world's opinion? Need I remind you that nuclear-armed countries were once in the same situation as Iran and they didn't give a damn about the world's opposition to their nuclear weapons capability.
