Iran’s sate oil company NIOC is denying that China and Japan have sharply
cut imports of Iranian crude. The company’s international affairs director said
today in Tehran that China has not decreased imports and Japanese refineries
have extended their contracts with NIOC until the year’s end.
“China (has) not decreased (the imports) at all… and all of the
contracts between Japanese refineries and NIOC have been extended until the end
of the year,” said Mohsen Qamsari, NIOC’s international affairs director [Mehr
News Agency, 2 May].
However, China's customs figures showed March imports of Iranian oil
had fallen by more than half to between 220,000 and 280,000 barrels per day, according
to Dow Jones Newswires. And the data from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade
and Industry showed that Japan imported 36 percent less oil from Iran in March
2012 from a year earlier [Press TV, 2 May].
“Oil exports to Chinese and Japanese refineries in the current year
have not decreased at all,” Qamsari insisted.

In the short run? Maybe. But in the long run, the world will find that Libyan and Iraqi oil won't be enough to compensate for Iranian oil.

Given the current situation in Libya and Iraq, it will be a long time before we see them produce oil at maximum output.
The world cannot do without Iranian oil especially once the global economy picks up steam.

The global economy won't pick up for at least another five years. So by that time it's to late for the Islamic government to see that through.
For those with a mindset circa 70AD who can't stop talking about politics, the world is done with you and mullah oil and is moving in reverse direction, because it has been proven time and time again that mid east oil and Iran oil in particular still act and think like arrogant cavemen in the modern world of invention. The international community is investing heavily in green technology, electric and natural gas vehicles for auto, air and transportation. All auto makers are moving in this direction because the people in the west are disgusted with the mid east and are looking towards a cleaner brighter future without proud superior Mullah oil invading their lives and raising prices on everything from putting gas in the car to buying a six pack of beer. Give it a little more time and Iran will be begging to sell oil to communist countries who continue to live in the past and continue to live in polluted cities without human rights. Yes, nice future Iran... not to mention the can of "whoop A" your going to receive by not one but several allied countries in the west and the middle east should this regime keep moving towards weapons of mass nuclear destruction.
