Mohsen Rezaie, the former IRGC commander and the publisher of the
influential Tabnak news site, today declared his candidacy for next year’s presidential election. Rezaie withdrew
from the last presidential election in 2009 that ended up in a dispute between Mousavi’s
Green Movement and the establishment candidate and the sitting president
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
“My participation in the upcoming presidential election of the Republic is certain. I'm in it to win it," Rezaie said [ILNA, 10 June].

It's a shame Mousavi didn't have the integrity to accept the results, rather than make baseless accusations in a hail mary power grab. He would be in a very strong position right now. Instead, he's under house arrest.
Yet another manufactured drama!
I don't think the Iranian people are that stupid.
It won't make a damn difference if Mousavi or Rezaie win the so called elections.
They both take orders from their BOSS above.
Being President in Iran is no better than a personal Abdarchei.
Iran is a mafia dictatorship with THE BOSS on top.
BANG! BANG!
No. It's a shame that the mullahs don't respect a significant part of the Iranian people who demands more freedom and openness. Instead we got high inflation ratings, more unemployment and less freedom.
Ontopic: it doesn't matter which face is representing the Islamic republic. The system has to disappear.
there was a significant difference between Khatami and Ahmadi; so dont tell me those elections dont matter: 'they are all the same'; but at the same time it is true; they wont let a candidate who truly represent the iranian people win those elections ...
Down with the whole lot of them. They're no good to us and above all no good to Iran. And anybody that says otherwise is one of them.
