Team USA Ranked First; Best Olympics Showing for Team Iran
2012 London Olympics,
arguably the most successful and organized Olympic games ever staged, ended
today. Team USA ranked first in the world with 104 medals including 46 gold,
China finished second, followed by the host Team GB with 29 gold (Russia
finished third in total medal counts with 82 medals).
Iran received 12 medals,
including four gold, in the best showing ever in Olympic games, ranking 17th
in the world.
Congratulations to all
athletes who competed during these games, providing shining examples of
commitment, hard work and strive for excellence to billions of people across
the globe.
Islamic Republic of Iran representing sportsmen have won the most medals than any islamic country in the world.
ReplyDeleteThey have also won more medals than any Middle East or Arab country !!! israel has achieved 000.
BTW, the student athletes from my alma mater, the University of Southern California, won 25 medals in London Olympics, including 12 gold. If we were a country, we would have finished sixth in the world, after the US, China, Great Britain, Russia and Korea (the latter had only 13 gold, just one more than ours!)
ReplyDeleteCounting all olympic medals per population would show that Russia is better than the US...

ReplyDeleteNonsense! Where did you get that bright idea from?
The Russian women did better than the men by winning 19 gold medals.
You don't measure by the population but by the amount of sports participants.
So Iran had 45 participants and won 4 Gold,5 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Not bad for a country that its government doesn't give a damn about any sports.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Iran have made very good progress in the recent Olympic Games amd I hope it will be better in the future. For me the rest of issues is not so important as a possibility that there will be no a war against Iran.

ReplyDeleteI have already answered your comment, but I see that you try to avoid (distort) answers to my comments where I have stated that counting all olympic medals per population shows that Russia is better in that category than the US.
The Guardian prepared special statistics in regard to the country size population and the total number of medals and in that statistic Russia is ahead of the US.
They also compared a GDP of countries in comparison to the won medals and in that category Russia and Iran were ahead of the China, Turkey and the US.
I have noticed you want to see the US better than anyone else, regardless of any circumstances..
My comment haven't mention about women but you try to interfere with women.
How about Iranian and the US women, you specified nothing in that matter?
You say that you don't measure by the population, but The Guardian have done different statistics including and related to the amount of sports participants too, where Iran is on 3rd place.
How about other "democracies", Turkey, Israel?
Anon 6:18 AM
ReplyDeleteThe US won the most gold and the most medals in the 2012 Olympics.
And end of the day that is what matters. For you to notice that I want the US to be better than any one else is humbug.
Iranian sports is neglected by this regime.Specially woman's sports, because of the type of backward people that run my country. The bird can't fly with one wing.
You also mentioned Turkey and Israel "democracies".
Are you seriously claiming that Iran under the yoke of a fascist Islamic theocratic dictatorship with all its barbarities is even close to those democracies?
When Iran is free then compare it to those democracies. Not now, when it is under extreme despotism.
Anon 6:18 AM.....I read his post and he didn't distort any comment. You are just dragging this issue for all it is worth.
ReplyDeleteAnon 8:24 PM.....Yes you are right.Iran could do much better without these fanatics in power.
Anon 11:31 AM.....Personally I can't wait for the day when Iran and Israel will face each other again in a football match.
To all bloggers concerned.I am an Iranian and I don't agree with some members on this blog with their fanatical anti Jewish or Israeli racist paranoia.
Anon 11:10PM
ReplyDeleteIT IS YOU WHO DISTORT somebody comments - for instance you add words "without these fanatics in power" to my words " I hope it will be better in the future", which I posted at 2:59AM
My other comment Anon 1:29PM is short and true and denies your michievous characterization that I am dragging issue. In reality it is Anon 1:29 PM who interferes and drags with adding women issue.
Anon 3:12 PM
ReplyDeleteYou have some serious issues with yourself and need to calm down.
If I want to bring up the issue of women in sport and women in Iran under the fanatical terrorist Islamic theocracy in general, then that is my choice.
It is no more twisting than the Islamic fascists claiming they are striving for the well being of the Iranian people, but in reality are there to lie, steal, imprison, rape and murder, all in the name of Allah.
As long as these fanatics are in power Iran will never progress in sport or come to think of it anything else in general.

ReplyDeleteGoodbye to western propaganda lovers. I haven't expected that this propaganda will be so primitive.
ANON 11:10AM
ReplyDeleteWould you have a courage to answer how the israel commenced its interference and/or influence into the policies and matters of Iran?
What was the earliest date of that interference or "influence"?
Are you a Shawl Mofaz or "chosen people's" cousin or relative??
Anon 11:43 AM
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm not Shawl Mofaz,an Iranian Jew who is highly educated, unlike that Rafsanjani, the thief of Iran.
So how much is he paying the Pakistani bloggers these days?
Anon 4:58 AM
ReplyDeleteGoodbye,you'll be sorely missed!
Anon 8:30 AM
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your expression of solidarity.
I wish you to experience glorious and joyful events in your life and a prosperous and noble future for Islamic Republic of Iran and all its Citizens...
I see that Jews won 5 gold medals in London!
ReplyDeleteShalom!
