Iran’s chief nuclear
negotiator Saeed Jalili today denied a New York Times report that Iran had offered a “nine-step
plan” aimed at resolving its standoff
with the West over its nuclear program.
The Times reported on Thursday that Iran had offered a gradual suspension of the country’s 20-percent uranium enrichment program at Fordo
Enrichment Facility in return for dismantling of the sanctions by the
West.
“No
new offer outside of the framework of the P5+1 negotiations during the last
meeting of the United Nations has been made, and the claims of some American
news organizations in this regard are baseless,” Jalili said. (Mehr News

How is the Bushehr plant doing? That's been operating for a year now?
Bushehr is a nuclear power plant, producing 1,000 mw of electricity. It did go into full production last month. No reports of any problems or issues there. Bushehr, however, is not a uranium enrichment facility, just a power plant.
It's ironic how other safe energy sources still heed to the safe standards and recs when others just brush off the safety of their future as long as it can provide an energy source. I guess we have no choice but just hope for the best.
