France Recognizes Syria Opposition

France became the first European power to recognize Syria’s new opposition coalition as the sole representative of its people. Six Arab states of the Persian Gulf also recognized the Syrian opposition on Monday.

“I announce today that France recognizes the Syrian National Council as the sole legitimate representative of the Syrian people and as future government of a democratic Syria making it possible to bring an end to Bashar al-Assad's regime,” French President Francois Hollande said. The French president also said France would arm the opposition as soon as they form a transitional government to take power in Syria.

Mouaz Alkhatib, the leader of the new opposition coalition, had asked EU countries to recognize his newly formed coalition.

“I request European states to grant political recognition to the coalition as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people and to give it financial support,” Alkhatib said. “When we get political recognition, this will allow the coalition to act as a government and hence acquire weapons and this will solve our problems,” he added. The so-called puppet Syrian National Council is a fantasy and no match for the Syrian military. Unless NATO directly intervenes setting off World War III and regional conflict, the Salafi terrorists have ZERO chance of unseating President Assad who has wide ranging support, is a brave man and has the total commitment of the resilient Syrian military.Even according to western estimates, the Syrian government has over 70% Sunni support, not to mention the life and death support of Alevis, Christians, Kurds and other minorities who fear a slaughter at the hands of the savage Salafi terrorists. BTW, most of the Syrian military fighting these terrorists are Sunni conscripts, since Alevi-Shias make up barely 20% of the population.

Despite 2 years of NATO/US/Wahabbi supported terrorism in Syria, the military has gained the upper hand and even according to European media the last major urban areas of terrorism like Homs have been cleared. Like some of the adult commentators have posted before since 2011, the Syrian government simply can not be dislodged by savage salafi terrorists who are committing mass murder and even alienating the Syrian public even more.

The cowardly Salafi terrorists with their daily atrocities and beheadings of soldiers and civilians have stiffened the resolve of the regime and the military even further. Murdering captured soldiers is a sure fire recipe for strengthening the spirit of the military that has its back to the wall.

Saddam's atrocities in Khorramshahr did exactly the same and literally lit a fire under the Iranian defenders. This turning point was also the catalyst for the creation of the Sepah and its ferocious defence of Iran.

The regional demographics and geo-politics are against the Salafi terrorists as the Persian Gulf puppet states, Turkey and Saudis that are arming the Salafi terrorists simply don have the manpower to take on Syria and its regional and global allies.

Turkish military will simply not go for a total war since Turkey will fall apart with its sizeable Alevi-Shia minority and over 20 million Kurds that are already waging a successful war of liberation via PKK that is now getting heavier weapons from looted Libyan and Syrian depots.

Syria has not even mobilized its 400,000 reserves yet and easily defeated the Salafi terrorists. It is wiser to get a grip then entertain delsional fantasies. The Syrian situation is in for a long play and the results will not benefit the US, Turkey or the Persian Gulf Arab puppets.
