In an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Thursday, Israel's
Deputy Foreign Minister, Danny Ayalon, said despite past differences with the
Obama administration over Iran, Israel and the U.S. are "very much on the same
page" and Israel "will continue to follow the lead of the U.S.' (CNN, 8 November)
The change in Israeli tone of "following the lead of the U.S." came a
day after Obama’s victory. Many Israelis are reportedly worried that Prime Minister
Netanyahu’s meddling in American presidential campaign and his widely
publicized preference for Mitt Romney would now hurt Israeli position and
status in the U.S. The leading Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth today carried
the headline "Bibi gambled. We'll pay." (CNN)
On
Thursday, Prime Minister Netanyahu called Obama to congratulate him on his win.
Netanyahu's office said he told Obama that the re-election "was a vote of
confidence in your leadership." (CNN)
Can you say "damage control"?!
ReplyDeleteMore Zionist backpeddling and hot air. The simple military equation is that the puny Zionist entity would not last a week in a no-holds barred war in the Middle-east and Persian Gulf region straddling the world's energy fault-line. 6 million imported Zionists simple can not fight a war of attrition against 78 million Iranians. Their hovels would burn this time as Iran has the ability to hit back unlike the disunited Arabs. Rockets, missiles and artillery would be raining on all Zionist centers from Haifa, Ashdod to Tel-Aviv and no part of occupied Palestine is safe from Iranian reach and they know it.
ReplyDeleteThe cowardly Zionist assasination of Iranian nuclear scientists stopped pronto when Iran hit back on numerous fronts. Zionists gloating on deadbeat US taxpayer funded weapons are all bark and no teeth.lol.
anon 11:17--- gotta love fools saying such silly and cowardly things....
ReplyDeletewhen you're dead and in hell, do go visit Col Nasser who also was sure that those puny Zionists were no match for Egypt, a country more populous than Iran and with a larger and better-equipped military than Iran's.
oh, and BTW, in a no-holds barred war with Israel, Iran would have more than 6 million dead in about two hours.

ReplyDeleteKeep on blabbing hasbara BS.LOL. The Zionist entity even got whupped by Hezbollah in 2006, let alone Iran. In 1973 even the Egyptians kicked Zionist arse hence massive US airlift of weapons and peace bribery for Egypt at camp David. You Zionist clowns are TOO FUNNY!
Come on guys politics aside,Iran had one of the most powerful air forces in the middle east in the 1970s.
ReplyDeleteAt that time Iran like Israel received the F4 Phantom but above all also received the F14 Tomcat which was a formidable fighter plane.
As for the army it was equipped with the advanced Chieftain tanks as well as the advanced Bell Huey Cobra attack helicopter.
Egypt could only dream of such equipment for their armed forces.

ReplyDeleteInstead of imported toys (weapons)
I admire Islamic Republic for investing in own scientific development. It could be more amazing if there were no sanctions.
Turkey has some good armament, but they do not have scientific brains like Iran has.
America and others; they developed their military industries during long periods of time, where they had no wars on their teritories ...and they plundered other countries including their brains.
