Arab monarchs of the Persian Gulf lashed out at Iran as
they concluded their two-day summit on Tuesday in Bahrain. The leaders of the Gulf
Cooperation Council (GCC) said in the summit communiqué that Iran must “immediately
and completely” stop its “interference” in their internal affairs. The six
member states -- Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab
Emirates -- accused Iran of threatening regional security and stability.
The GCC also condemned Iran’s “continued occupation”
of the three islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb, which lie
in the strategic Strait of Hormuz entrance to the Persian Gulf. Iran took
control of the islands in 1971 when the British ended their colonial rule in
the region.
The GCC also urged Iran to cooperate with the IAEA over its nuclear program
and ensure safety of its nuclear power plant at Bushehr on the Gulf.
the GCC voiced its support for the ruling monarchy in Bahrain which is grappling with a popular uprising led by its Shia majority to oust the ruling minority from power. The Arab states accuse Iran of covertly supporting the revolt.

ILLITERACY!,AND HYPOCRISY!!, ARAB SHEIKHS GREATEST UNDOING.
ReplyDeleteAS we can all see here these SHEIKHS have converged here with one agenda that is to condemn IRAN'S interference, and all those ills made in TEHRAN!their words are very convincing THAT Iran IN FACT IS PLYING A BAD NEIGHBOR FOMENTING TROUBLE here and there.these 'humble' leaders are using a diplomatic way to warn IRAN .IN SHORT THEY ARE TELLING THE WORLD THAT DESPITE BEING AN ISLAMIC STATE THE NATION OF IRAN IS COMPLETELY OUT OF ITS WAY AND DON'T DESERVE TO BE CALLED ISLAMIC!.
-however ,did you know that these 'real' MUSLIMS are HYPOCRITES AND TRANSGRESSORS OF THE HIGHEST ORDER SUCH THAT they have completely rebelled against the statutes of ISLAM?
HYPOCRISY ONE-
-The Religion of Islam teaches "DO NOT FORM TRIBAL GROUPINGS,DO NOT RETURN TO THE JAHILLIYA [pre- Islamic]ERA OF RACIAL GROUPINGS.BUT what do we see now of these people?
HYPOCRISY TWO-
-OH MUSLIMS!DO NOT RULE YOURSELVES BY MONARCHS AND KINGSHIP!-do they not read these teachings? they do but hypocrisy and world treasures have blinded them!.
HYPOCRISY THREE-
-what is the state of Human rights in these kingdoms?,what is the state of women rights and foreigners rights in these kingdoms?.THEY HAVE TOTALY DEFACED THE BEAUTIFUL RELIGION OF ISLAM AND EMBRACED SOME JAHILLIYA PRACTICES!.
BMA,
DeleteI challenge you to answer the three questions you had raised with repeat to Iran:
1. Does the Islamic Republic practice politics based on "racial groupings?" Specifically, does the constitution of the Islamic Republic discriminate based on religious affiliation (Shia as opposed to religious minorities)
2. Monarchy's major problem is the rule for life. How does it fundamentally differ with the concept of supreme leader?
3. state of human rights in Iran: would you elaborate?
Isn't it Hippocratic to lash out against the GCC on the above three points, but defend similar practices in Iran?
Correction: Of course I meant 'Hypocritical' and not 'Hippocratic.' My apologies for the mistake.
DeleteNothing of interest here folks...move on...
ReplyDeleteBtw, the Royalties can tell when we are interested... *yawn*!!! (zzZZ) LOL
All this "news" means is that a bedouin convention is being held in Occupied Bahrain by some worthless puppets. Where do they pitch their tents and feed the camels? Is there a camel race with slave child South-Asian jockeys the highlight of this non- event? Zero plus Zero=ZERO.
ReplyDeleteThe GCC monarchs are indeed more hypocritical than ever when they come up with evil Iranian interference, and further so when they paint it as the sole fundamental issue undermining the whole security and stability of the ME, to quote their terms. Coming from the very same nations that actively and openly participate in quelling a popular uprising through direct military means outside of their own borders and finance whatever newly-formed extremist political groups plaguing post-uprising arab governments such as Tunisia or Lybia. No matter the kind of interference Iran is perpetrating in Bahrain as well, which obviously exists since it is part of the greater regional wrestling going on for years on a new scale, the same one that drives some of these sunni regimes (if not all) to back Al-Qeada linked salafi jihadist groups in Syria. There again it is no more defensible than Iran frontally supporting the murdering regime of Asad, don't get me wrong. What I'm saying is that they are all as guilty as the other when it comes to regional power-play, disregarding the actual condition of the People and putting forward their own agendas on top of everything. I react the same way every time the IR lashes out at the GCC record.
ReplyDeleteAll in all, these "leaders" are the last people in the world in a position to lecture Iran (or anyone for that matter) on such issues, let alone women and human rights both on the ground or in terms of law, there i would start to laugh, and loud if they ever dared to bring up the subject. IMHO, the IR shouldn't ever get its hands on nuclear weapons, and so for obvious reasons such as an inevitable arms race that would arise from that in a highly volatile region, and the virtual impossibility of an uprising ever being able to take on the regime without risking total annihilation of their own country in the endgame... with that said, if only these nice and democratic monarchs, renowned for their progressive stances on issues through history (irony here), could have less of a blatant, non-stop double standard vis-à-vis Iran's nuclear menace, and at least make a symbolic mention of Israel's ACTUAL, hundreds strong arsenal with all the needed intercontinental delivery vectors that allows them to strike way further than the middle-east, and not silently accept and systematically submit to the US' efforts to undermine any possibility of space for a real public discussion on the issue, the most recent iteration of this policy being the last minute cancellation of a dedicated conference a few weeks ago... remember the far-right is in power there as well nowadays, in the "ME's only democracy" ? a regime that is currently throwing hundreds of families out of their homes and forcefully installing illegal settlers from abroad in their place, and still getting a NATO status upgrade with it, maybe as some sort of an instant gift to their acceptance of UN resolutions ?
Also keep in mind that talks of a preemptive nuclear strike on Iran has more than once come to the mouths of their commanding circles, which is technically entirely possible in a first strike scenario via the German-offered Dolphin submarines regularly patrolling near Iranian coasts. Now i don't want to take it more or less seriously than Ahmadinejad talking about "the Zionist regime being wiped out of the pages of time/history/earth" or whatever, depending on the translation/interpretation chosen. But unfortunately, only one side has the actual means of utterly destroying the other for now, and as long as it doesn't change, i will tend to be scared more by the one holding the hundreds big bombs and making threats, than the one we suspect having even one.
