Fars News reports that the Gas pipeline, dubbed the "peace pipeline" has commenced and is expected to be completed in thirteen months (1)
In related news, the BBC reports (per Fars News) that Iraq has agreed to the allow the building of an Iran-Syria pipeline. The pipeline would be 1500 KMs and would be operational in 18 months, according to Fars (2).
It is reported that Pakistan and Turkey have asked Iran to reduce the price of Gas available for export to these countries (2).
Iran consumes the bulk of its 600 million cubic meters daily production and any increase in exports would require improvement in energy infrastructure to allow for increased production.

As long as this regime remains in power the earning potential of the country will remain a Pipe Dream.
ReplyDeleteIslamic Republic of Iran + Republic of Iraq = ~Shia Superstate
ReplyDeleteYou are need of some ZERESHK juice!
DeleteMark there is no question that Iran and Iraq along with the Shia cresent of Lebanon, Yemen and parts of Afghanistan combined can heavily influence the turbulent region, but this pipeline to a bankrupt, unstable and sectarianized Pakistan is not a good commercial or strategic idea.
DeleteFirstly, Pakistan is a corrupt US controlled puppet regime and has sold Iran out many times before at the UN (vote on nuclear program) and other global forums. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, Pakistan is a deadbeat and lives on US and Saudi largesse and hence the Salafi/wahabbi terror and murder campaign against the Shias and ethnic Hazaras for money provided by the Petro-pimp Persian Gulf Arabs. Pakistan's corrupt ISI (military intelligence) is engaged in a proxy war against Iran by supporting Wahabbi terror groups from Baluchistan. Even the hated MEK has bases near Quetta, Chaman and Khuzder.
If the mullahs had an ounce of cranial matter, they should stay the hell away from an imploding failed state like Pakistan that can never pay for Iranian oil or gas anyway. The only interaction with Pakistan should be a electrified fence and minefields to keep the Jundollah and other Wahabbi madrassa brainwashed freaks out, like India has done from Kashmir to Gujarat in the south. This is a pipeline to nowhere, Iran would be much better off linking with the Central Asian/Caspian pipeline infrastructure or an under the sea pipeline to India via Gujarat state as originally planned.
So sad that you guys think so much in sectarian terms, Shia v. Sunni. Such sectarian thinking has been the root of many troubles in the region that has kept it so divided and underdeveloped. Don’t fall into that trap!
DeleteI am sorry to say this but this is the reason why mullahs should never be allowed to spread their nonsense because all they breed is KHORAFOT.
DeleteAnother pipe dream...LOL!!! Maybe the Chinese can build it for you guys....there is no demand for the gas anyway!!!
ReplyDelete"The Washington Post is surprised by the ‘mysterious’ high cost of gasoline in the US but does not mention in this article that the US government, at the insistence of the Israel lobbies, reduced Iran’s petroleum exports by 40% in 2012 by strong-arming countries to leave it in the ground and not import it on threat of third-party US sanctions."
ReplyDelete- from Juan Cole's blog
What a crazy world we live in. Oh, and yes, Dr. Cole is definitely an IR agent. :)
Yes, anyone with rational thought or critical thinking is an instant IRI agent and a personal friend of the mullahs.LOL. I personally have broken many a pistachios with them. Just kidding.
ReplyDeleteIn reality, US subservience to the Zionists is indeed costing the average deadbeat taxpayer immensely. Even Kerry recently questioned the unlimited US taxpayer largesse to the Zionists. It is conservatively estimated that pro-Zionist US policies have added at least $15 Brent Crude premium to a barrel of oil as demand in China and rising Asian markets grows in quantum leaps. An upcoming devaluation of the worthless dollar and dumping by China and Asia will add another 50% to gasoline prices already hitting $6 in parts of California and Jew York.
It is conservatively estimated that direct and indirect US fiscal aid, assistance and outright grants to the Zionist entity occupying Palestine are about $12 BILLION annually and $3 BILLION in military aid, not o mention the $500 million recent deployment of Iron Dome and Patriots. Then the US has to fund destabilized nations like Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan from joining an anti-Zionist front if the puppet regimes are overthrown. The Islamophobic wars are costing well in excess of $4 TRILLION now and counting. This "aid" to secure Zionists also adds up to about $10 billion annually. This is the price of keeping the regional puppets happy and saving Zionist apartheid entity from oblivion.
All this burden on the US bankrupt economy while China accumulates $3 trillion FOREX surplus and US national debt exceeds over $16 TRILLION and counting, while 66 million brainwashed Americans live on foodstamps and welfare. The cost of servitude to AIPAC and Zionists is making America sick indeed.
I am curious, why did you have the urge to post this your comments on a post dealing with the construction of a pipeline between Iran and Pakistan? What is the relationship to the topic on hand? Or is it that you cannot comment on anything under the sun without standard anti-Zionist diatribes?
DeleteI often wonder if this fellow Anon 8:53 is an automaton who constantly repeats his usual boring diatribes to put us to sleep.
DeleteTruth hurts the hasbara LOL.
DeleteNo,your diatribes bore us.
DeleteYou seem to be confused as usual. My comments are on the futility of the so-called IPI pipeline. Please read the posts and topic first. I understand that objectivity may not be your forte, but at least stay on topic as Iranian oil is of immense importance to Asia, contrary to your usual misplaced pronunciations for several years about the imminent collapse of Iran. The IPI pipeline also shows the importance of Iranian strategic economic thinking, albeit it is far better to work with Indians. My point was that Iranian economy is now linked to rising Asia and the other comment is in relation to the other post on Dr.Juan Cole's comments on the cost to US bankrupt economy supporting Zionists. Calm down and carry on.
