In another move to expand hangings in Iran, majlis has passed a law labeling "currency manipulators" as "مفسد في الارض" (those who spread corruption on earth). This is an umbrella term that qualifies offenders for hanging, just like the term "Enemy of God" (محارب).
At least this time the parliament (majlis) took the time to pass a law, instead of having the justiciary make an announcement in a press conference that they will start hanging currency traders.

it's more likely that the offending currency traders would be subjected to the regime's newly-announced device designed to amputate people's purchasing power.
ReplyDeleteIT WAS AND it is the same case in CHINA!!.CHINA has some very strict laws concerning currencies and normally they hang corruption offenders!.THIS HAS PLAYED A KEY ROLE IN INSTILLING DISCIPLE IN ITS FINANCIAL SYSTEM AND hence its financial stability.
ReplyDeleteWow,your logic defies belief! So lets hang everyone that says NO to the Islamic Fascist Theocracy!
DeleteLets just say if anybody needs hanging then lets start with the real perpetrators, namely the leadership and their goons.
@B.M.A...Oh how fortunate for us Iranians that we have a democratic country like Iran that has the wise Islamic regime to follow China's very footsteps in the art of mass executions. Then do you suggest the US and Europe should put up the gallows and start to follow Iran's and China's fine democratic principles and start hanging people on mass in Wall Street and the City in both New York and London etc...?
DeleteBritain had steep penalties for undermining the economy in their war against Germany during the first half of the 1940s. They were facing an economic war by means of a hot war, where today Iran faces an economic war by means of a cold war. But in both cases, the object was regime change through coercion. And in both cases, persons involved in undermining government enacted economic countermeasures intended to weather the economic war were/are treated as traitors.
ReplyDeleteThat's why conflict resolution is so important, and the reason I support the policy advocacy of former Bush administration officials Flynt and Hillary Mann Leverett. It would be best for American interests as well as the lives of ordinary Iranians inside Iran if a Nixon-to-China moment were to be achieved with the Islamic Republic.
I'm getting sick of keep hearing those 2 names; Flynt and Leverett. Stop using this argumentum ad verecundiam (argument from authority) fallacy.
Deleteat one time in England, the penalty for all felonies was execution.......so you can use that to defend the scum running Iran in yet another one of your endless offensively drivelous attempted comparisons, Mr Meconium Pyruz
DeleteMark Pyruz, unlike in war time Britain in today's Iran the real traitors are the ones running the country. So stop comparing war time Britain under Winston Churchill to an Iran occupied by Islamic zealotry.
DeleteYou're such big joker.
mALING FROM A STUPID NEWspaper headline a great "Hanging Target"
ReplyDeletecan be done by somebody who looking for bad news MD Hassod Fazel.
Dear MD Fazel
Keyhan is only a newpaper and they are journalists writing own opinion
That is task of the courts and judges to charge the suspected people.
you need corresponding law, which must be approved by parlament and Guradian council.
a Journalist has no task there
Kayhan is not only a newspaper. It's one of the newspapers that tows the official line.
DeleteNothing surprises me with this inhuman regime.
There is no officia line im Iran
DeleteThere are many official line im iran ,
every party has own newspaper and Keyhan is not freind of government
Anyway
Despite any official and semi officia line only The law of country is significant
@Anon 3:10 PM..Kayhan is the friend of Khamenei in case you forgot.
DeleteStill no capice ?
DeleteHow many times must I say the law of the country is significant and nor Article of Keyhan ?
As soon As such law is decided on Majlis you can blame them
@anon 3:10 pm
DeleteKayhan's editor is appointed directly by the supreme leader Khamenei and news posted on its front page about laws being passed by the parliament are not gossip.
I agree that Iranian state media are unreliable at best but news posted by them are still worth looking at to see what the Iranian people are being told on a daily basis. You will notice that the English copy of Kayhan had a totally different and sanitized headline.
Anon 5:24 PM....You still haven't cottoned on to the fact that it is Khamenei that calls the shots and the rubber stamp "parliament" is there to approve his dictatorial edicts.
DeleteLOL! I wonder what next? Hanging people for breathing to much?!
