Moshiri’s ‘Secret Garden’ Sells for Almost $1 Million
Collectors from around the world gathered in Dubai today to acquire
works by Iranian, Arab and Indian artists.
The ‘Secret Garden,’ 2009, by Iranian artist Farhad Moshiri sold for
$987,750. The giant bear made entirely of light-reflecting crystals, had
created quite a following during the exhibition, and was a masterpiece by the
artist. (artdaily.org, 18 April)

Iran has a 3000 year old history of producing great artists. It is in the Persian DNA and it is good that the Persian Gulf puppets buy Iranian art as it helps promote Iranian culture and shows the sophistication of Iranian diaspora. Dubai has many Iranian artists and their works sell well at globally competitive prices. Good on Farhad Moshiri.
Such beautiful painting :o)
