Killing Both Crew
An Iranian F-5 fighter jet crashed today after hitting Filman
Mountain in the western province of Ilam, killing both crewmembers, the
semi-official Mehr News Agency reported. The pilots were attached to the Fourth
Tactical Fighter Squadron based at Dezful AFB. But the officials have not
yet identified them by name or rank.
Iran's air force retains an aging fleet, including F-5s and
some other aircraft purchased before the 1979 Islamic revolution. In January
2012, an F-14 fighter crashed minutes after takeoff, also killing both crew.

RIP to the brave Iranian aviators. These accidents do happen in all airforces, but Iran's aging fleet is indeed in need of a complete revamp.
ReplyDeleteIt should has been one of these; human error, technical failure or the machine developed engine trouble.
DeleteMaybe you're to dumb to understand but the airplanes are well over forty years old and need to be retired like the decrepit Islamic regime.
DeleteMaybe it was a stealth radar evading mountain?
ReplyDeleteA comment befitting the village clown.
DeleteYossi's stealth radar cannot see demise's possibility of certain (Bibi's) entity.
DeleteYossarian is right,Iran also has stealth radar evading "elections".
DeleteRIP to our brothers or sisters involved in this accident!.may the Almighty accord them a good hereafter and reward them JANNAT !.
ReplyDeleteBMA Your sister's were not involved in this accident. They are wrapped up in Black sheets and can not dream of becoming a fighter pilot under the Mullahs or any other Islamic country. They are to stay at home and have children and obey "your brothers" all day long. Now go and pray so you can be rewarded "JANNAT" asap
DeleteSu-24MK was introduced in 1988

and you of course fail to mention the number of the Russian aircraft in Iranian possession, Anon 1:12
Deleteor the number of the Mirages that Iran has and which came from Saddam's air force......sent to hide in Iran because they were of no use against the US Air Force and would have been immediately destroyed in aerial combat.
Iran has no more than two dozen of each........ and while they completely inferior to modern warplanes, these few Iranian planes are far, far better than the the VERY old American F-4s and F-5s which are the great majority of what Iran has.
Iran's air force can't do more than try to die well
Anon 4:56PM, Iran's air force will not die, because they will primarily be used for a deep defense and enemy's aircrafts will have to endure an risky attempt of a long penetration of Iranian teritory as well as Iranian air defenses.
DeleteUtilization of decoys by Iran, will also blurr enemy's performances.
Introduction of long endurance armed drones, with an AWACS capabilities, can also mitigate dangers for the IRIAF.
A-F
I agree that Iran's warplanes will not take to the sky to challange those of a modern air force but will instead attempt to hide.
DeleteAnon 5:08PM.
DeleteThere are two scenarios for the begining of prospective aggression, a limited one, which probable outcome will be close to that of Carter's hostage rescue attempt.
The another one will be a massive attack with cruise missiles (by different sources about 700 of them), and an attempt to eliminate or destroy air defenses and airplanes on the ground.
That second scenario is a kind of "fantasy" as of this time and in that kind of situation, Iran will make resistance and look forward for Russia's reaction..
Inferior air forces, in that kind of situation, use to employ an assymetric warfare tactics, which include dispersals of assets, decoys and tactics of ambushes as well as waiting for missile air defenses contribution to lower enemy's morale.
A US analysis of the IRIAF:
ReplyDeleteBut don’t expect Iran’s air force to roll over like Iraq’s did in 1991 and again in 2003. Unlike the Iraqi air force, the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) appears to be well-armed, well-trained and eager for a fight. Besides the aforementioned F-14 Tomcats, 79 of which the U.S. sold to the country before the Shah was deposed, the air force operates several dozen of each of the following types:
J-7 (Chinese-built MiG-21 derivative)
MiG-29
Su-24
F-5E
F-4E Phantom
Mirage F1
All told, the IRIAF flies as many as 300 fighters. All are older designs, but have been maintained and, in many cases, upgraded by the indigenous aerospace industry, which has become proficient in reverse-engineering weapons and spare parts — and perhaps even engines. And the IRIAF has aerial tankers too — a force multiplier only the most advanced air forces maintain.
Veteran aviation correspondent Tom Cooper and his co-writer Liam Devlin have a fascinating feature in the current issue of Combat Aircraft Magazine, profiling the IRIAF. The authors have interviewed IRIAF defectors and U.S. Navy aircrew that have tangled with Iranian fliers over the Persian Gulf. The feature cautions against the Western habit of underestimating the IRIAF:
In November 2003, a USAF E-3 Sentry flying a patrol over Iraq tracked a formation of no less than 16 IRIAF F-14As … This was the largest group of Iranian F-14s detected in flight by the U.S. military since 1997, when nine IRIAF Tomcats were tracked over the southern Persian Gulf by the U.S. Navy. … During the summer of 2005, several Su-24s were observed operating over the Persian Gulf, armed with Chinese-made C802K-2 anti-ship missiles. … Iranian Phantoms were sighted as well, usually carrying AIM-7 Sparrow and AIM-9 Sidewinder [air-to-air missiles].

Like the outdated Polish cavalry in WW2 when they charged German Panzer tanks and were easily defeated. The IRIAF will suicidally "put up the good fight" and lose.
DeleteAnonymousApril 22, 2013 at 7:20 AM, unable to deny the article you just resort to dreams because that is all that you Iran-hating racists can do.
DeleteThis is all hypothetical as the US is bogged down at all fronts and is imploding and now after the so-called Boston farce will focus more on internal repression, more Islamophobia and police state. I feel sorry for any Muslim, Blacks, Hispanic or Asians living in the hate-filled US cesspool under total Zionist control. The US will now go through a period of intense craziness and will simply destroy itself with hate. Even the pathetic Canadian Harper toadies are now fanning Iranophobia combined with Islamophobia under alCIAda guise. So I have firmly believed that the United Snakes is too weak to start a world war 3 at this stage.
Deletethat was a myth just like the "wiped off the map" claim
DeleteCorrect. The US under Zionist control is one big crazy Hollywood myth. The myth is unraveling fast.
DeleteAnon 7:42 PM....You really suffer from inferiority complex, don't you Sandist Khor ?
DeleteAnon 7:10 AM, would that be instead of the inferiority complex of those who always feel a need to kiss the arses of white, westerners and try to put down everyone else in comparison to white America?
DeleteAnon 9:01 AM....Tell me Sandist Khor are you Iranian or are you one of those full of hate mixed up coverts who suffers from terrible inferiority complex and users the "racist" card every time someone speaks the truth?
DeleteOh and another thing. I am a "white" Iranian from Mazandaran :o)
I don't have an inferiority complex of wannabe Americans who always feel a need to kiss westerners' arses.
DeleteI would disagree and say you are a wannabe bedouin who suffers from terrible inferiority complex and a unfounded paranoia towards modernity.
DeleteI think 9:44/1:13, the infamous " sandist-khor :o) guy ", is describing himself very well by projecting his own fragile inner feelings, way to paint a picture of yourself, like a hypocrite. He just stand out like one of those odd Persian neo-Nazi wannabe supremacists. One gets the feeling that he loathes his ethnical/cultural connection to Iran while exhibiting self-loving narcisstic traits on a personality basis. It's pretty sad...
DeleteThat's the problem for people like you. You can only see life from the confines of kissing other peoples' arses. I do not and do not want to be anyone other than me.
DeleteThere are a lot of confused "white" Persians of dubious backgrounds in the deadbeat racist US police state who try to kiss redneck arses but are still marginalized as Eyeranians or towel heads by the FOX/CNN racist trash. Now after the Boston false flags "white Caucasians" are in severe strife in the hate-filled US. These pathetic redneck arse-kissers are now in for real problems as they will be more targeted in the US police state. This is what happens to traitors who deny their heritage and try to develop imaginary homelands and don't fit in anywhere, particularly the hate-filled United Snakes of Zionism.
DeleteLooks like you have proven my point that you suffer from terrible inferiority complex and spiteful hatred towards people that you consider different than yourself and who disagree against your misguided and hateful beliefs.I almost feel sorry for you.
DeleteInteresting that you talk of an inferiority complex while kissing the arses of foreigners, serving a non-Iranian agenda. Do you get a pat on the head from them or a dog biscuit, in return?
DeleteThis documentary is somewhat reflective of a future war between Iran and the U.S.

ReplyDeleteUS rejects Zionist demands for bunkerbusters
ReplyDeleteWhat the increasingly desperate warmongering Zionists wanted most was a weapons system that is missing from the recent US taxpayer funded package: a giant bunker-busting bomb designed to penetrate earth and reinforced concrete to destroy deeply buried sites. According to both American and Israeli analysts, it is the only weapon that would have a chance of even damaging the Iranian nuclear fuel enrichment center at Fordow, which is buried more than 200 feet under a mountain outside the holy city of Qom. The Zionist airforce simply does not have the adequate numbers of mission capable aircraft (F-16) to fly 2000 kms round trip facing a gauntlet of Iranian defences or specialized ordinance to seriously threaten Iran and the US mired in its own economic and domestic morass and facing a quagmire in the Middle-east is hardly willing to acquiesce to Zionist blackmail.
In other words the Zionists will keep on huffing and puffing till their own glass house built on the blood of Palestinian women and children simply collapses.
How about the blood of the Iranian people spilled by the most vicious and backward regime in Iran's history or is Palestinian blood more precious than Iranian blood ?
DeleteYou're such a little hypocrite.
Anon 2:45
DeleteIt will be a pleasure watching the Zionazi pilots try to jink and jive to evade SAMs and contend with IRIAF jets while having near empty tanks due to the vast distance that will have to be crossed one their way to the facilities/installations. It will be a one way ticket to hell for the Zionazi jets, pure suicidal mission. They will be very fortunate if they can manage to make it out of Iranian airpsace in one piece, nevermind achieving their objectives. The only possible way for them to succeed in hitting their targets would be to fly in an abolsute straight line towards the main waypoint whereby the striking phase would begin and the Iranians would have to be asleep or rolling their thumbs, but i don't think they will be doing any of that. Suffice to say: the destruction or even damaging of the Iranian nuclear plants by the Zionazis is simply a pipe-dream.
What Iranian blood you silly lollipop boy! Iran is a democratic, free and peaceful nation.
DeleteYou seem to like lollipops? Is it because you enjoyed "lollipops" while you were learning your "trade" under the mullahs Abah ?
Deletethe US sent bunker-busters to Israel years ago.
Deletethis latest one is too large for the israel air force and isn't needed.
Israel's supply of bunker-busters are mainly for use against Lebanese Hezbollah.
Israel has other means of exploding Fordow.
Zionists sure have other ways of imploding indeed!
