The White House today offered to help Iran grapple with the
deadly Bushehr earthquake. The powerful 6.3 magnitude quake struck close to
Iran's only nuclear power station on Tuesday, killing 37 people and injuring
850 as it destroyed homes and devastated two small villages.
Caitlin Hayden, spokeswoman for the White House National
Security Council, said in a statement the American people extended condolences
to the people of Iran for the devastation that resulted from the quake.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and the
destruction that's been caused by this disaster, and stand ready to help the
Iranian people in this time of need,” she said. (Reuters, 10 April)

Offering to help Iran will be counterproductive to the regimes policies. That will be like offering the cross to Dracula.
ReplyDeleteYour idiotic comments not withstanding, this offer is normal human courtesy which obviously you seem to lack. Iran is quite self-sufficient anyway and due to its location on seismically active plates, Iran has ample experience with quakes unfortunately to handle this situation. Tightening the building codes and making more flexible concrete structures is the longer term solution. In the meantime one-dimensional Iran-haters should learn some humility and humanity and not to gloat over tragic events. Karma at even a personal level is a bitch.
DeleteThe "one dimensional Iran haters" are the ones in charge of the country therefore they can afford to hire idiots to come out and blog on their behalf.
DeleteWhat does a freak like you who is hired by an anti human regime know about "humility" and "humanity" :o)
Don't you wish. A LOSER like you can only think of money? In any case I am about to up my fees due to my high intellect and education at Ivy League skools! LOL. What a silly Iran-hating imbecile that does not realize that most Iranians are patriotic and the government has over 90% support base. Just see the peaceful large turnout at the next election.
DeleteFunny,if the "government" has over 90% support base as you pathetically claim then why is it that they have a need to place their goons in every street corner of the country and arrest journalists and human rights activists?
DeleteYou see what you're doing now by spurting your bullspit :o)
Now that is what the hasbara keeps spewing out of frustration. How old are you and with your one-dimensional hate things must be hard in the real world?
Delete" .... the government has over 90% support base."
ReplyDeletesilly person, when only 10% of the population of an authoritarian regime are willing to publicly advocate replacing the regime, that is certainly not any indication of a 90% support level.
