IRGC-N Khalij-e Fars ("Persian Gulf") ASBM
From Fars News Agency:
"Iranian experts at the IRGC Aerospace research center have increased the precision capability of the 'Persian Gulf' supersonic ballistic missile to 8.5 meters."
"The supersonic projectile, which carries a 650-kilogram payload, is smart and immune to interception, and features high-precision systems."
"The Persian Gulf supersonic ballistic missile is the most advanced and most important missile of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy."
"The range of the solid-fuel missile is 300km and it can be fired from triple launchers."The greater accuracy claims made by IRGC-ASF Commander Hajizadeh are for a hit scored by an updated IRGC-N "Khalij-e Fars" ASBM on a moving naval target.

Can it be used on protesters?
ReplyDeleteNO! But it can be used against potential Invaders and Iran has had it's share of those over it's long history. So no matter who is in power Most Iranians have no problem with making the right tools and equipment for defense of their country.
DeleteIran is only the 2nd country to develop a ballistic antiship missile and could well be the first country to actually deploy one militarily as the deployment status of the chinese df-21d is unknown. This is a formidable antiship weapon especially in the confined waters of the straits, tho` with that accuracy it would also be very useful for land attack,I`m sure hezballah could make good use of such a weapon
ReplyDeleteCommander of the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh noted that the delivery of Khalij-e Fars anti-ship ballistic missiles to the IRGC naval forces has prompted transregional countries to consider ending the mission of their warships in the Persian Gulf.
ReplyDeleteWhile most cruise missiles travel at supersonic or high subsonic speeds, Khalij-e Fars missile is fired like other ballistic missiles, but is able to detect its targets and hit them in a vertical manner.
Where are the "colonel Mc Gregor" and Iddon hiding ??.

Iranian strategic missiles are now the 4th largest in the world and a guarantee of its FREEDOM & INDEPENDENCE as proven by the peaceful and large election turnout and great results. Iranian nation has matured immensely since the great revolution. It is time to test a nuke and equip some of these missiles with nuclear warheads. Iran is producing enough enriched uranium for at least 8 nukes a year. A large and powerful nation like Iran should have a nuclear deterrent of at least 100 nukes in land, sea and air configuration. IRAN PAYENDEBAD.

DeleteWell said Anon 3:36AM, i like this particular statement of yours as well as other controversial statements, but you are stating the thoughts that are on alot of peoples' minds. The difference is that the others don't dare expose these kind of ideas, you do, and i praise you for that.
DeleteAnon 1:01 praising ones self are we?
DeleteNot really, I am stating the obvious which is beyond the realm of some of you anti-Iran delusional set who have been wallowing in coma sine 1979. Iran is a stable, large, prosperous, democratic and politically mature nuclear capable power and most of the intelligentsia now is debating whether Iran should have a nuclear breakout capability as it has mastered the nuclear enrichment cycle. The current elections and their honest transparency have even been hailed by the Zionist media so there is no threat left to Iran and the pathetic US/Zionist "sanctions' have failed miserably as can be seen daily hustle and bustle on Iranian streets and booming infrastructure development. NO POWER ON EARTH CAN HARM IRAN NOW SO THERE IS NO POINT BEING COY! TIME TO TEST A NUKE AND LET THE WORLD SOAK IT IN. IRAN PAYENDEBAD.

NATO military analysis
ReplyDeleteABU DHABI — Persian Gulf Gulf Cooperation Council Arab states have reached the highest level of military spending per capita in the world, a NATO report said.
Despite world’s highest per capita military spending, puppet Persian Gulf Arab states and Saudi Arabia can’t defend themselves
In another report by The Gulf Center for Development Policies asserted that military spending by the PGCC exceeded that of Britain and Israel together and dwarfs neighboring giant Iran's by over $60 billion a year.
The PGCC military spending has resulted in mounting public and foreign debt that reached 40 percent of the gross domestic product, or GDP. Saudi Arabia has bought over $80 billion in US and European weapons since 1990 and does not have the trained manpower or technical infrastructure to support or maintain the stockpiled weapons. Most of the small operational inventory is manned by expats and Pakistani military personnel on secondment.
“The puzzling question that needs more in-depth research, however, is why has the Gulf failed to build up adequate military self-[sufficiency], given the huge amount of money that is being spent annually on military expenditure,” center director Omar Shehabi said. “This needs more research and honest self-reflection.”
The report, titled “Gulf 2013: The Constant and the Changing,” cited major procurement deals with the United States by Qatar, Saudi Arabia and
the United Arab Emirates. The center said the arms spending has not reduced
the need for foreign troops, reported at 60,000, in PGCC states and Saudia Arabia.
“Gulf states are unable to secure themselves from any external military
threat, as they rely on Western countries to provide military protection and
security,” the report said.
Al Shehabi said the report was drafted from data culled by 20
researchers. He said the report was meant to address rising demands for
reform in the PGCC or face imminent social and political meltdown.
The report asserted that PGCC states must increase cooperation in
building a powerful regional military. Another recommendation was that the
six Gulf Arab states address political and labor reform, including the near
total dependency on foreign labor.
The report concludes that the small size, uneducated workforce and population of the PGCC states will always keep them vulnerable, and at the mercy of regional powerhouses like Iran and Turkey and will require to align themselves with larger
powers in the region or extra territorial predators like the US and UK.
Yeah, yeah, The truth is that the Gulf Arabs are lazy and complacent...but honestly they don't need to sweat it...and the explanation is quite simple. Their vast fossile fuel resources and widespread export provides them with more than enough revenue to afford this degree of military expenditure, beefing up its defences with the most advanced hardware along with competent personell, whilst keeping its people happy on a socio-economic basis coupled with one of the highest living standards in the world. The Shieks played their cards well by staying friendly with the West, mainting good relationships with both the EU countries and the US...and surprise, they still have their religious laws in place and haven't changed their cultural values or norms one bit. The Ayatollahs & Mullahs ruined their chances by severing their ties by ordering the storming of the US embassy and taking hostages, committing an act of war against the US. The Iranian regime wanted to be the main adversary of the US, so it has itself to blame. All Iran can do is watch in agony as its neighbours across the Persian Gulf reap the benefits and maximise their own inner potential, laughing at poor and foolish Iran which has turned itself into a pariah state that is being taken advantage of by bogus friends like Russia and China, especially the latter getting Iranian oil and gas cheap to drive its economy forward and not even having to pay in hard currency, thanks to a genuinely good friend, namely the US.
DeleteAnon 9:26 AM....Well done! Couldn't agree more. The regime in Tehran have only themselves to blame. If you have time, what should be the solutions for change in Iran?
DeleteIranian crude oil exports to China up by 50 percent as it increases trade with Asia
DeleteThe Customs Administration in Beijing reported Friday that Iran’s crude exports to its top customer, China, had increased by nearly 50 percent in May from April on a daily basis. Iran sold 2.36 million tons of crude to China in May, equivalent to about 555,557 barrels per day (bpd). Iran's overall trade with India and rest of Asia is also on a an upswing as it diversifies its economy and makes it "sanctions" proof.
Great propaganda! But where the hell is the money? Iran is giving away the oil to the Chinese. They owe Iran $40 Billion in cash.Where is it!?
DeleteThings are not looking to good for the arabs or the western backed ststus quo
DeleteAnonymousJune 21, 2013 at 9:26 AM
DeleteYes how stupid of the iranians to give up being a puppet state ruled by a hated despot, they would have been much better off being like those "smart" arabs, you know the ones saddam, ghaddafi, mubarak, ben ali,by the way how much longer do you think the saudi, bahrani or qatari royals are going to be in power for?,and do you think the us will lift a finger to keep them in power,I doubt it
Anon 2:02PM,
DeleteYou are mistaken...actually Saddam used to think the same. The western Allies will do everything in their power to protect the Gulf Arabs, they have done it before, and will do it again...
yup, the Gulf Arabs can not defend themselves from greatly larger and more populous nations..... just as Iran can not defend itself against the US armed forces or NATO.
ReplyDeleteIran's military would fare little better than did Saddam's.
That's just the way it is.

ReplyDeleteMaybe you should re read his post if thats the only conclusion you could draw from it.The point he made was that despite out spending iran militarily these countries have a far less effective military than iran, that they could not maintain their weapons systems themselves and had to rely on foreign technicians and engineers just to be able to keep a lot of their military operational, they bought weapons they didnt need and couldnt use.Iran by comparison spends far less and is very self sufficient when it comes to producing its own weaponry, despite not receiving any spare parts or technical assistance from the us for over 30 years iran has kept a large portion of its us built air fleet operational, how long do you think the saudi or any arab air force would remain operational for if the us withdrew its support and the foreign technicians left the country.A good example of this was gaddafis libyan airforce,in the 70s the libyans on paper had a large and capable airforce, but its performance was rather lack luster in combat and with the collapse of the soviet block and the withdrawal of the eastern block technicians and other support personnel it quickly became a shadow of its former self with only a small number of aircraft operational at any one time.As for irans ability to defend itself one only has to look at what happened to saddam wen he tried to invade,or how the israelis fared at the hands of the iranian trained and equipped hezballah not to mention irans ability to shut off the regional oil tap through the straits of hormuz,it has the largest ballistic missile arsenal in the region that can destroy any target within 2000km of irans borders,in short altho` iran spends a lot less than the arab despots it has a far more credible military machine with far more credible power projection and deterrent value, the arabs by comparison squander their money on weapons they dont need and cant use
those Gulf nations have weapons that are far more advanced than those in Iran.
Deletealthough , Iran does possess one (not really functional) nuclear power plant.....they Iran didn't know how to build, had to have others build for them.... and which is maintained for the Iranians by Russian technicians.
Iran is more technically advanced than the Gulf Arabs, but being a second-rate country crowing over their wealthy third-rate neighbors isn't really all that worthwhile.
maybe someday Iran will throw off the reactionaries and get past being second-rate, but that day isn't yet insight.
Some of you anti-Iran ranters are naive and clueless. The recent successful election in Iran and the peaceful, pluralistic and inclusive nature of Iran proved even to the most imbecilic self-loathing cretins that the vast MAJORITY of Iranians support the Islamic democratic system and are largely content. There is ZERO chance of any change of "system" in Iran for the foreseeable future. As far as Iranian military is concerned it can run circles around the deadbeat US and thump its puny Arab petro-pimp neighbors at will. Do you ranting losers not follow even most mundane news like Hezbollah routing the Zionists and then cleaning the clock of Salafi cannibals in Syria? This blog and many other self-loathing exile chai-khaneh types have been predicting the end of Iran since 1979 and imminent "downfall" of President Assad for the last 3 years, not to mention the "daily" predictions of Zionist "airstrikes" on Iran every few hours. LOL. It is imperative that you simpletons get your head out of the proverbial and pronto.
DeleteBTW, you may have heard that US is a total LOSER and now grovelling o the Taliban who have kicked its sorry arse once again. Some of you kids are hilarious in wishful thinking and true products of Zionist FOX drivel and Hollywood fantasies.
it's idiots such as people who believe the crap that you've written who will cause the privation and pain that will befall Iran.... a nation which has become isolated from the world and can no longer sell the one thing that it has to offer.
DeleteAnon 10:19....Don't worry my friend, every dog has its day. That applies to the regime and their stooges.Look what happened to the mighty Soviet Union.Who would have thought that such a power could collapse like a house of cards.
DeletePerhaps, but the USSR was not an open DEMOCRACY like Iran with over 80% public support as indicated by the recent internally acknowledged Presidential Election. However, you may continue on the path to eternal self-loathing and anti-Iran frustrations. Not good for your health or soul if you have one? It is so sad to hear the same old worn out of the Tehrangelis delusional set rants since 1979 while Iran has turned into a mega-power to be reckoned with.
DeleteIran isn't a democracy and no one other than a fool could claim that a government headed by a priest who is selected by a handful of other priests is a democracy.
DeleteAnonymousJune 21, 2013 at 3:09 PM
DeleteBut isnt it funny after iran started work on busher who started ordering nuclear powerplants of their own?,why the arabs did of course, they dont want to look backward compared to iran now do they
Russia to resume arms sales to Iranian ally. Since the US terrorist state is illegally arming the Takfiri cannibals in Syria, the Russians will definitely respond by strengthening Iran. All reports suggest a mega-arms deal including SU-34 fighters. The so-called UN arms transfer "sanctions" don't amount to a hill of beans as the US and its puppet thugs are breaking every international law by arming real cutthroat terrorist scum in Syria. The US morons will reap the blowback while Russia and Iran will watch with glee as the Salafi murderers eventually attack US and its Zionist masters.
ReplyDeleteMOSCOW, June 22 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow made a new attempt to dodge a $4-billion lawsuit from Tehran over a failed deal to supply S-300 missile systems by offering another type of air defense system to Iran, Kommersant daily said Saturday.
The new offer on the table is Antei-2500, aka S-300VM, or SA-23 Gladiator in NATO nomenclature, the newspaper said, citing unnamed sources in the Russian arms trade industry. The missile defense system can simultaneously destroy up to 24 aircraft within the range a range of 200 kilometers or intercept up to 16 ballistic missiles.
The deal can be formalized during the visit of outgoing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Moscow on July 1, an unnamed Iranian diplomat told Kommersant.
Iran was initially interested in the S-300 missile complexes, signing in 2007 a contract worth $800 million for five missile defense systems of this make.
But the deal was scrapped in 2010 by then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who was unilaterally expanding on sanctions against Iran imposed by the UN Security Council.
Iran filed a $4-billion lawsuit against Russia in the international arbitration court in Geneva, which is currently pending review.
Moscow has struggled to have the lawsuit dropped, including by offering the Tor anti-aircraft systems as replacement, media reported earlier this month, adding that the offer was rejected by Tehran.
The Antei-2500, however, may be a better solution. The system does not formally fall under the existing sanctions against Iran while still being useful for the Middle Eastern country, which wants to have protection against a possible missile strike by its enemy Israel, Kommersant said.
While the S-300 was developed for the use by missile defense forces, the Antei-2500 was specifically tailored for the needs of ground forces, which could also be an advantage for Iran, known for its large land force.
the Russians aren't going to send Iran anything much at all, but they'll threaten quite a bit.
