Discusses Economic Difficulties Facing Iran
Iranian President-elect Hassan Rouhani
pledged to cooperate closely with parliament and to limit infighting between
the legislative and executive branches, as was the case with the outgoing
administration.
“The future government will not think of confrontation with parliament,
nor will it think of, God forbid, fooling parliament with inaccurate
statistics,” Rouhani told deputies in a speech late on Sunday. “Certainly
solving the country's problems will not be possible without cooperation between
parliament and the executive branch.” (Mehr News Agency, 15 July)
“The country faces very difficult conditions, and some of these
complexities are the result of domestic performance and some are the result of
unjust foreign pressures,” Rouhani told the lawmakers.
“This is the first time that the country faces very high inflation - the
highest in the region and perhaps in the world - coupled with negative economic
growth,” Rouhani added.
Rouhani
also faulted Ahmadinejad’s handling of economy, accusing him of misinforming
the Majlis and the public of the country’s economic realities. Rouhani said
despite Ahmadinejad’s claims of creating hundreds of thousands of jobs, only an
average of 14,000 were created annually over the 2006 to 2012 period.

Another farcical show! How is he going to achieve anything within the framework of this regime. What problem is he going to solve as long as these idiots are in power?
ReplyDeleteI have been few times to Iran since revolution and very recently this year. The middle class have disappeared to foreign lands and the towns have been overtaken by pseudo religious peasants from the County side who all speak with village accents. Most of these people have filled in technocratic positions and invariably you can associate them to the so called believers in this religious nonsense that has plagued the country for over three decades now. The chance of findings anyone with secular/non religious thinking in higher positions is practically non existents. Those people who have left Iran and live abroad they did so for one reason. They would never come back short of change of regime and having a secular government. Now this guy is blaming the current administration for Iran’s malaise. It is not the administration which is at fault. The fundamentals are at fault!
It is also disappointing to note that this religious nonsense has been force fed into new generations of Iranians. In short it is a cultural thing and sadly as much as we like to think otherwise or see ourselves as being different from other nations, we are culturally backward. It is not that mullahs and cronies are feeding nonsense. Ii is because people are believing in that nonsense! If that is indeed the case, there is no other justification except that people in this so called glorious land believe in those mosakhrafat!
Whether we like it or not that is the culture of that country and it is not going to change overnight. It is an evolutionary process. In short it does not matter if they put any clown in the front, under the bonnet they are all the same. Iran nowadays is ruled by a bunch of Mullahs, Bazaries and Gadazadeh. Don’t expect any miracle. To make life easier for myself, I don’t think about it anymore. As a friend of mine put it over twenty years ago when I met him in Iran “accept the fact that tree grows sideways in this country and get on with it”. There is no point raising hope about some turban head taking over. The guy was sitting behind Khomeini in France and this is the guys we are hoping to rescue our Country. Frankly I would not trust them to take my dog for a walk.
As much as i try to think of why people wanted these zombies to rule over them i can't come up with an answer... amazingly the Egyptians have brains to realize that their country had been hijacked, if only for a brief period of time, by a bunch of religious freaks. There must have been a very effective secret underground programme or national marketing in place during the 70's, orchestrated by none other than Khomeini of course. One can't help but wonder if he and his small band of groupies really did it on their own without foreign assistance. Whatever messages they were sending into Iran seemingly worked to brainwash a great deal of the population. This brainwashing came in handy later on, where the world would see the reckless sacrificing of teenage boys, young and middle aged men, and old men, without anyone raising questions, in the war against Iraq. Khomeini used to say war unil victory (toppling of Saddam) and i won't hesitate to call off the agression until we at least reach Karbala. As we all know, Saddam was the old arch nemesis who had suppressed him in Iraq during the 60's and then forced him to leave for France. Khomeini held a terrible personal grudge against Saddam. And was ready to sacrifice as many as he deemed neccessary in this dirty endavour.
DeleteBasrawi,Iranians suffer from Stockholme Syndrome, where the victim (the Iranian people) sympathize with their captors (the Khomeinist regime).Even if you try to convince them for their own good and try to free them, they will resist you or even side with their captors to fight you. This is called Stockholme Syndrome.
DeleteWell said. I could not put it better. I feel sorry for ourselves. Why everthing has to be like this? Why can't we behave like any other moderate nation. I can see we are supposed to be a civilisation with thousands years of history. However, as of today our country is left to feel like social leper among all other nations thanks to these bunch!

A-F
Is that the only word you know or are you one of the regimes "malkontents"?
DeleteA-F stands for Archetype Fool. A fasinating example of one of those individuals who think because there is an empty structure built in Iran where noone has the means to buy anything luxury or sell anything, we are going to be fooled. What a pathetic response. On one side we are talking about inflation of 50%, rampant unemployment, stagnation and loss of Iranian rial, the real issues and this ahmagh is talkjing about an empty mall built on preferential rate of dollars by gadazadeh to be sold at open market porice to anyone. When I was there recently you could see all these empty structures built in the hope that they will be flogged to someone. The only people who can afford to buy these are moftkhorans like this clamhead!

ReplyDeleteYou apparently are wasting your life for lost causes or you make "too small" money for your replies.
You can make more, by joining the Mossad - after registration with your government, or with other famous agencies....
Since you know more words, can you tell what is the word for "a malcontent" in the Hebrew ?.
Regardless your question whether I know more words, I have to inform you that I have discovered that in some countries of the world, some last name words - used by some authors on this blog, were also used by the followers of the Zionist entity...
