Russia said today a vote by the U.S. House of Representatives to tighten sanctions against Iran would not help resolve the dispute over Tehran's nuclear program. (Reuters, 1 August)
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said that UN Security Council sanctions already in place against Tehran were sufficient.
“Any additional sanctions are actually aimed at the economic strangulation of Iran, but not at solving the problem of non-proliferation,” Gatilov told Interfax news agency. “What has been done through the Security Council is quite adequate and sufficient.” (Reuters, 1 August)

Congress passed a bill on Wednesday that will cut Iran's oil exports to nearly zero, in addition to imposing other new sanctions. The bill still needs to be approved by the Senate and signed by President Obama before going into effect.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet President-elect Rouhani in Kyrgyzstan in September. The meeting is expected to deal with the Iran’s nuclear impasse and the steps Iran, under the new Rouhani administration, and the world powers should take to strike a compromise and end the dispute.
The more the U.S.'s illegal sanctions against the great nation of IRAN, the stronger and mightier IRAN's military power will be. That's for sure.
ReplyDelete"Congress passed a bill on Wednesday that will cut Iran's oil exports to nearly zero"
ReplyDeleteEven passed into U.S. law, that has yet to be seen. We've yet to see how this would play in Asia, in particular PRC.
Ahhh yes the PRC.The very country that has signed a 25 year old secret deal with the Islamist terrorist and rapist regime to control the southern ports of Iran.Of course the IRGC will be allowed to receive five per cent of tax and duty from their new masters China.Yes China is indeed allowed to screw Iran so that the dirty Islamist turdocracy can remain in power.Even the Qajars didn't sink that low.

ReplyDeleteNo the puppet shah just sold his country to america just like the filthy wahabist house of saud, thats much better
Anon 3:33.......Give me "the puppet shah" any day over the traitor puppet mullahs of Britain. The mullahs have sold Iran to China behined the Iranian peoples back.Something that even the Qajars didn't do.The Shah didn't leave Iran bankrupt with a worthless rial which is now lower than Afghan and Zimbabewe money.Iran is bankrupt and is being raped. The filthy mullahs are the same as the "filthy wahabist" who are the same rappists and zealots.
DeleteAt least the Shah didn't sold us out to Russia and China.
DeleteIndeed anon 3:04 AM.The Shah used his influence with the US to get the best deal for Iran. But these savages who parrot their hatred towards him are the same types of people who are raping torturing and killing Iranians on a daily bases in Iran. These savages have turned Iran into Iranistan for countries like China and Russia.Something that even the Qajars didn't achieve.
DeleteNo just to america and israel, iran back then was no different to mubaraks egypt or saudi arabia, just another "arab" dictatorship run for the benefit of america/israel,where the people of iran came a very distant second
DeleteAnon 5:27 PM, for all its faults, the Iranian government is not a wahabi one. It is nothing like wahabism.
DeleteAnon 9:20 AM... The Islamist regime in Iran is hanging ten people a day, chopping hands, raping, torturing and killing in the name of Allah.Wahabists are chopping hands and heads in the name of Allah too and pretty soon Iran under this "government" will be chopping heads off as well. It's just a matter of time.
DeleteAnon 6:39 AM.....Go and read some books at least before you post useless propaganda nonesense. In Iran of today Palestinians,Hezbollah,Hamas,Assad and Syria come first second and third and Iranians last.A least under the Shah Iranians came "a very distant second",according to you of course.I think thirty million Egyptians have proven to the world that Mubaraks Egypt was a thousand times better than the horrible Islamist government and that's why they begged the military to overthrow the Islamist charlatan.
DeleteAnon 9:20 AM, yes, the Islamic republic does those things. That still does not make it a wahabi regime. It is a shia state. Wahabis are opposed to and hate, shias, shia Islam and Iran. You should learn for yourself.
DeleteAnon 6:17 AM....So you admit the Islamic regime does those things, then what is the difference between a Wahahbi regime and a Shia one? Yes I know Wahabi hate Shia and Shia hate Wahabi because they both reflect two sides of the same coin namely Islam Khorafati. As long as Iran and I only mention Iran is run by self centered dictatorial and theocratic mullahs Iran is doomed for ever.Religion should stay out of politics and stop bullying people into a shiekh omati type of society.
DeleteI personally think a reformation is due in Iranian society as far as Islamic religion is concered.
If you don't know the difference between wahabism and shia Islam, you should make the effort to educate yourself.
DeleteAnonymousAugust 2, 2013 at 8:50 PM
DeleteWell said
but then its not surprising people like AnonymousAugust 2, 2013 at 8:00 PM are so ignorant they`ve probably spent the last 30+ years living as exiles in the us
AnonymousAugust 2, 2013 at 1:55 PM
Last time I looked there were a great many egyptians who did not share that view
No you need to educate yourself because Wahabism and Shia fanaticism is the sap that comes from the same tree. You are not capable in understanding this.
DeleteYou didn't look hard enough because thirty million Egyptians didn't want Morsi the zealot period. Now go and drown your sorrows.
If you cant tell the difference between iran and saudia arabia then maybe you should go and live in saudi, then you would clearly see the difference between iranian shiaism and its democracy and saudi wahabism and its absolute monarchy
DeleteThe problem with cretins like you is that they refuse or simply don't want to understand or learn the facts.Let me spell it out for the retard.Wahabism and Shiaism are both Islam and Islam is the main enemy of Iran and its old culture. If you can't understand that then you are beyond any earthly help.
DeleteSo you favor some sort of atheist dictatorship like communism then?,I think you`d find yourself in a very small minority, most iranians are perfectly happy with their government and their religion or religions, and lastly if you cant tell the difference between shia and wahabism then you`re either blind or prejudiced, its like saying that you couldn't tell the difference between the branch davidians and the anglicans
DeleteYour type are known to farib people so go and chase your own tail chummy boy.
DeleteTypical of the malcontent, when you destroy his arguments and show the fallacy of his beliefs he resorts to insults.Thankfully people like that will never achieve any of their warped dreams for iran
DeleteThe upcoming talks in Kyrgyzstan will be a make it or break it deal. Iran must compromise and step back in line or else the whole Iranian economy goes down the drain because the country will simply go bankrupt if it can't export its primary natural resource.
ReplyDeleteNo nation should compromise its rights. If they do, it will not end with the nuclear electricity development. Next the USA and its masters the zionist occupation will demand even more compromises in even more areas of national development. A slippery slope.
DeleteYou Islamist only think about "zionists"this and "zionists that".Nuclear electricity? Yeah right! LOL!
DeleteYou hasbarats only parrot propaganda. Nuclear weapons programme? Yeah right! LOL! Where have we heard that before? Iraq in 2003. zionists love to cry wolf.
DeleteBoth sides repeat the same thing over and over again... I've started discarding most comments that mention either the word mullah or zionists ; both are written in an emotional rather then fact driven point of view.. I'll admit the fact that I tend to have some prejudice myself (namely I hate the "states', or as they are called "imperialists". But god dammit can anybody maintain an argument about anything without calling in some sort of dialectal/historical/social almigthy word that should encompass all evils of these times.
DeleteBoth of you had a valid point: the IRI institutions and "leaders" have a tendency to over-play the role of the ideological leaning members of Israeli & American players ; the fact is that even when entering facts about economy and such the regime and many of its supporters tend to overplay the role of zionist related actors. The presence of an illicit weaponizable nuclear program is questionable.
I could've easily chosen any argumentation on this blog to point out how the users and some posters rigorism is questionable. But for whoevers sake could you guys stop reading only the "news" that is published by your side?
Anon 8:15 PM
DeleteYeah sure! The low life ragamuffins in Tehran want nuclear electrcity.LOL!
the reason mostly evoked by the regime is for medical isotopes... seriously if you don't know that their is more then electricity at play here, don't try to laugh at people (your attempt at a straw-man sophism is rather laughable.
DeleteAnonymousAugust 3, 2013 at 11:23 AM
DeleteI imagine the people of tehran just want electricity full stop and nuclear is just one source of it,and iran has every right to that technology
Yes the Iranian people have the right to nuclear technology but not under the control of religious fanatics.
DeleteCertainly the sanctions won't end the problem with proliferation, but they surely do provide an disincentive for Iran to continue it nuclear weapons development program.
ReplyDeleteThere is NO "nuclear weapons development program",how stupid are you?
Deleteless stupid than yourself.
Deletequite a bit less.
Sure there is or else the regime would not have invested in ballistic missiles and uranium enrichment plants for nothing.Tell me why would the regime want to enrich uranium when they have only one nuclear reactor? And the uranium for that nuclear reactor is being supplied from Russia. And by the way the uranium Iran has already will last another one hundred years for medical uses.Iran is going the North Korean way period.
DeleteAlleged "nuclear weapons development program". Alleged by zionists and their slaves the USA, without proof. Just like they alleged a "nuclear weapons development program" in Iraq, in 2003.
DeleteAnonymousAugust 2, 2013 at 5:37 PM
DeleteIran plans to build many more reactors
The russians have shown they cannot be trusted, iran must have surety of supply
The uranium iran currently has would not even provide one fuel loading for busher and iran has every right to enrich as much 20% U as it likes. If iran wanted the bomb it would not have gone the route it has,it would have followed the israelis or the dprk and built a small gas or heavy water reactor inside a mountain and the first anyone would have known of it was when it tested its first bomb, altho` if iran decides it needs a nuclear deterrent then there is nothing the west or anyone else can do to prevent that.As for irans ballistic missile forces, the largest in the middle east, irans development of those date back to the iran iraq war when saddam started firing scuds at tehran, had iran only wanted a delivery system for a nuke then its missile forces would only number in the tens rather than the hundreds to thousands that it currently posses
AnonymousAugust 2, 2013 at 4:05 PM
DeleteReally!?,I have real doubts about that especially when you just mindlessly repeat the same tired old unsubstantiated claims, all it does is just make you look stupid,oh and gullible as well
These sanctions will only choke the deadbeat US/Zionist economy or lack of it!
ReplyDeleteYeah, sure it will. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!
DeleteConfrontation with Russia:
ReplyDeleteMilitary analysts failed to note something very important about Russian weapons deliveries to Syria. One key point was the S300 system, 250 missiles delivered by April 1, 2013, confirmed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
More missiles with mobile launchers and command modules have been delivered since, estimated at nearly 400 by mid-July.
Israel has fewer than 400 first line combat aircraft in its entire air force.
The number of air defense interceptor missiles allocated to Syria, missiles that represent an addition to their current embedded inventory, is highly asymmetrical.
There is no remote hope of Israel every gaining air supremacy over Syria should the conflict widen yet it is obvious that these are Israel’s plans.
With a Russian naval force off Syria’s coast, continued missile attacks, cited by Jane’s as using Tomahawk cruise missiles launched from Israel’s remaining German donated Dolphin nuclear-armed submarines, put Israel at risk of military confrontation with Russia.
something for you to note, doormat........ at what point will those systems be in operation?
DeleteProbably right as we speak
