Iran’s Annual Non-Crude Oil Exports at $37 Billion

Iran exported $12.5 billion of non-crude oil commodities during the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year that started on 21 March, Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported on Sunday.

Gas condensate continued to be the fastest growing non-crude oil exports. Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) Director Ahmad Pourheidar told IRNA that 61 percent of value of the entire commodities exported from the PSEEZ were gas condensates.

  1. Iran's economy in real terms is close to $800 billion now and is increasingly diversified. If all politics and US sour puss hissy fits aside, Iran is really in the G-20 economies on nominal PPP basis since Saudis, Indonesia, South Africa, Argentina and the likes of imploding Turkey are in the mostly political cosmetic group of western puppets.

Iran's agricultural yieds are up too and there are adequate wheat stocks now to cover three years. Good planning and sanctions mitigation efforts have largely neutralized the full impact of the sanctions as China and India have largely stepped in. It is really a huge loss to US and EU business and indutry.

Even the oil industry is growing as the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) has taken delivery of four new supertankers in recent weeks in the face of US-led sanctions against its energy sector. Recent data from the IHS Maritime show that four supertankers, each with a maximum carrying capacity of 2 million barrels, joined NITC's fleet between May and the end of July, Reuters reported Wednesday.

The vessels that joined NITC fleet are part of a 1.2-billion-dollar contract with two Chinese shipyards in 2009 for 12 new supertankers. Another three entered service with NITC earlier this year.

Chinese sources said last year that the yards had planned to deliver the 12 supertankers to NITC by the end of 2013.

The latest acquisitions boost NITC's supertanker fleet to 37 vessels with a maximum carrying capacity of 64 million barrels of oil. The company also has 14 small crude oil tankers with another 12.5 million barrels in capacity.

Iran recently offered sovereign guarantees for tankers shipping its crude oil to India as the OPEC state moves to further its support for crude exports to the South Asian country.

The offer made to India by Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade covers liabilities between USD 50 million and USD 1 billion per incident through sovereign guarantee and the government special fund.

However, for the shipping liability of less than USD 50 million, an Iranian consortium led by the Central Insurance of Iran will provide that coverage.

The offered guarantee is to compensate for the lack of insurance coverage for these shipments. Iranian tanker fleet is one of the largest and most modern in the world.

    3. Wow, what high calibre intellectual input and all with "western assistance"! It is obvious that the "west" (no need to cap the W) is failing to impart conceptional or critical thinking skills to the new third world immigrants. They sure as heck need more "assistance" since the mundane one-liners reflect low level literacy skills. The decaying west also needs to inject more money in reskilling, basic literacy and numeracy, particularly for Jewish/Zionist new economic immigrants.

Here is another one of those "one-liners"

      You're paranoid.

    6. Since you have a obsession with the "Zionist global looters".You should know then that it was the Carter,Saudi and "Zionist" co-partners that helped install the present regime in Iran. This might be a bit hard for you to swallow but you are unknowingly supporting their policies by backing the regime in Iran.Enjoy!

  2. Iran's wheat output may rise 5%, hit 14.5m tons

Iran's wheat harvest may total about 14.5 million tons in 2013, up about 5 percent from the 13.8 million tons collected a year earlier, the United Nations' Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) said. Total grain production may be 21.85 million tons, up 3.4 percent from a year earlier, including 3.2 million tons of barley and 2.4 million tons of rice, it added.
