Cause for Geneva talks failure being spun: FM Zarif

Iran's Foreign Minister Zarif offered this tweet following Secretary of State Kerry's assignment of blame on the Iranians for the cause of no nuclear deal being reached at Geneva with the P5+1:
"No amount of spinning can change what happened within 5+1 in Geneva from 6PM Thursday to 545 PM Saturday. But it can further erode confidence"
Returning to Iran empty handed, the Iranian delegation and the Rouhani administration now face from the Iranian perspective, the warranted skepticism of the SL branch of IRIG, the Iranian parliament, and the IRGC in a position of "we told you so."

Kerry was saying that the six major powers, including France and Russia, ultimately reached an agreement on Sunday night that was then presented to the Iranian delegation, but Zarif needed to consult with Tehran before signing off on it.

Zarif’s comments above do not directly dispute Kerry’s account. Zarif says a lot happened between Thursday afternoons to Saturday afternoon. I am sure it did, after the French raised objections to the text on Arak and level of enrichment. But the six major powers, according to Kerry, could ultimately agree on a draft agreement and presented it to Iran as a unified proposal late on Sunday. That's the text that was apparently not accepted by Zarif.

I am sure the real story if full of nuances and we will lean more in the coming days.

I meant the six reached an agreement on late Saturday night/Sunday early morning.

Iran should just leave the talks and NPT.

Look at this despicably evil country that Mark (who lives comfortably in the US) defends. What a despicable scumb one must be to back such an evil regime.

yes, the spinning is going on..... the fanboy is already sitting and spinning. the Iranian delegation didn't go home empty-handed. they have a proposal from the other side to present to their master.

That makes a difference from the shills commenting here in support a despicably evil regime that commits apartheid and occupation on a daily basis, all in the name of a religion.

You mean what khamenei does to iranians by stealing 100 billion worth of their land for himself and throwing them into evin if they protest?

Anon 5:26 AM........In the name of religion doesn't the evil occupying islamic terrorist regime in Iran use apartheid and executions on a daily basis against religious minorities and women? Take off those rose tinted glasses and wake up to reality sunshine.

Iran has a right to enrich uranium and everyone knows why the Isrealis do not want to see the Arak Heavy Water Plant getting operational. It is simple as they want the optiom.of using a nuclear device on Iran if a conventional attack fails, leaving Iran with no capacity to retailate in kind. The Iranian Government is better than d Capitalist block who wreck havock around the globd by first nuking other nations and thn using extremist saudis to send dogs first to Afghanistan and to present day Syria. It is better not to make concessions on Arak Reactor.

No it just the israelis and their bumboys in the western political elites who put israels interests ahead of their own,and last time I looked the real international community, not the security council and its bootlicks, supported irans right to nuclear power or didnt you bother reading the tehran declaration from the nam states.Whats really pathetic is people like you who would be happy if iran was no different from the saudis with no capability to build anything having to be utterly reliant on the west to import everything from matches to cars

Seems like you're the only one here repeating the same tired old crap buddy.
