Thanks Mark, for sharing!
I dig the style and color pattern of these housing units.
Last year I visited Damavand, I couldn't beleive my eyes how the nature is destroyed. All the trees had been cut and ugly building were made instead. I don't think any country in the world has destroyed its natural scenes as Iran did in past few decades.
"I don't think any country in the world has destroyed its natural scenes as Iran did in past few decades."
This is definitely not true. Not even close.
This regime is at war with the land of Iran and its nature.Just drive through the caspian and see how they have raped the land. The leopard population is being hunted down and killed. They say they haven't enough men to protect the area yet they have plenty of them to oppress the people with.
instant slums surrounded by nothing
These constructions, by the previous government of the Islamic Republic, should enjoy everybody who desires well being of the honorable nation of Iran.
Those buildings will give children possibility to grow properly, and be commited to strenghten future of their country as well as to shape new vision of the world...
Only hipocrytes can negate these achievements, with their deceitful cries about "a lack of luxurious cars ...and vices", and their Nutanyahu type's mentors, who claim that.....Iranians are not free, because they cannot wear jeans...like has been stated not long time ago, by the top Zionist Nut...

Yeah, constructing a bunch of ugly buildings in the middle of nowhere is a great achievement for a regime whose life expectancy, infant mortality, and literacy rates among countries are NOT ranked even in the Top 100! Go Mollah Regime, Go!
Increase in medication required.
Doing and creating something during the lenghty and cruel economical agressions is a landmark victory........for the Islamic system.
There will be an opportunity for the inhibitants and youth to do a volunteer lanscaping job .

hilarious horsespit, AF.
there's no victory in erecting shoddy housing projects and the sanctions have only just started throttling the economy off Iran..... in another couple of years, Iran will really be mired in poverty...... and only by ending the Iranian governments deceits and posturing and non-compliance with Iran's treaty obligations will the Iran be able to get relief from the sanctions
I know the reasons why some people outside their native countries use to spit on their ancestor lands being in new systems.
Most of the times, it is because they lost opportunities to material possessions, or simply they are paid what they do.
In case of Iran, most of its outside critics are former shah' supporters, the capitalism and Zionism followers... as well as a foreign agents posing as a "patriots"...
One can notice that, during transformations to the capitalism from other systems is that in a first decade of that transformation, the crooks, criminals and "insiders" use to have the best "opportunities to enhance themselves...
And later, after couple decades, crises come to those "democracies", like it have been in Greece, Spain and other places...
Look at the Central and other South American countries, their "western" freedom haven't enhanced speedy developments in most of those countries.
Western countries are still rich because they plundered and exploited other countries and people... for centuries.
Couple of the above pictures have been showing bare buildings, apparently when their constructions lasted or was coming to an end, so negative descriptions by bloggers are not fair ....
And it is natural that during a war or aggression, basic necessities have to be created first.

P.S. Couple months ago I have noticed that someone inserted a links to the Uskowi on Iran's website on my computer, without my knowledge...
In the last couple days someone corrupted my wireless capability , by turning it off...
Anon 6:18 PM "AF" there is no such thing as "former shah supporters". You are either a supporter or not, but never a former supporter.. Just like you and your ilk are mullah supporters supporting mullah regime of terrorists there a others out there with other beliefs.
This place is already ready for bulldozing.
