    I like the brick at the entrance just which it went all the way down instead of that white tile. Also the statue of Amir Kabir would have been better if it was a full statue. Other than that hopefully it deacreases some traffic

    Tehran has had 2 good mayors one is Ghalibaf the other was the late Nikpey in the 70s.

      The difference between the two is that Ghalibaf is a thug and murderer.

    12 December 2008: World Mayor award, 8th Best Mayor
    12 December 2010: World Mayor award, 12th Best Mayor
    12 December 2011: World Mayor award, 3rd Best Mayor

    I just came back from Tehran. The improvement in traffic is very much visible. Other than some side streets which are usually filled with cars, when you are on highways you feel you are in Europe ! A foreign friend who has spent two year in Tehran said, though, that "driving in Iran is grossly impolite". I was somewhat annoyed by this comment but after a few days I agreed with him. Mr. Mayor: You have a great job on building highways and tunnels but could please embark on a program of teaching the drivers to respect others and obey traffic laws ?!

    People are very slowly learning to stay in their lanes. I think its because the cops are starting to give citations more for not doing so. For the most part in the video below you see its definately improved significantly.
