  3. We had a similar celebration here in San Francisco when our first sight of a A380 appeared at SFO.

Lufthansa has a regular route on a seasonal basis, using the A380. Once in a blue moon, a Singapore Airlines A380 shows up.

  4. Most countries knew how to behave with the rest of the world, revolutionary 1979 Iran didn't... so this is the price that ordinary Iranians must pay for Akhoond's stupidity. We look on with envy as every other airliner aquires newly manufactured, technologically superior, robust & safe aircraft while the common Iranian man, woman and child is stuck with 747-100 (earliest model) which by the way is the oldest Jumbo Jet in commercial use anywhere in the world! Nations whose governments kept a healthy attitude and behaved civilized, have made museums out of the 747 (even late models)! Please understand how far behind Iran is!!!

I suppose by "healthy attitude and behaved civilized" you mean a western backed arab style dictatorship like pahlavis that puts the interests of the west first, you know like "civilized" countries like saudi arabia, last time I looked it was the west refusing to sell airliners to iran for not kow towing to western demands not iran refusing to buy new airliners

    2. Ah, but you see, Arab dictatorships never declared war on the US or other countries in the west. Khomeini on the other hand foolishly did. Iran has been at war with the US since 1979. I dont care particurarly for the Pahlavi dynasty, i'm not a "shahi", but Iran was doing much better then in almost every field imaginable compared to today. So in summary, iranian people are now reaping the very same seeds that Akhoonds planted 35 years ago. Akhoonds behaved badly, showed overt aggression to surrounding countries, officially called for overthrow of neighbouring governments, openly supported terror organizations, endorsed & condoned acts of terrorism and hostage-taking, supported the spread of militant Islam, and publicly stated that the US is Iran's number one enemy. If Akhoonds had brains they would not have done those things. They should have maintained friendly relations specially with the US (the most influential and powerful country on earth)...then yes, Iran could have been another dictatorship in the gulf without being sanctioned.

    4. "arab style dictatorship"

Please tell me,what do you call velayat-e-faqi then? If that isn't an arab style dictatorship then I don't know what is.This regime puts islam above Iran which just so happens was a religion to unite the arabs against the Iranian Sassanids with. So by definition the present regime is a reflection of arab style dictatorship because they base their laws and customs on arab bedouin society and justice system of qoran. Couldn't be clearer than this, good day.

Last time I looked the arab style dictatorships were either like pahlavis absolute monarchy or the house of saud or military dictatorships like egypt with one rubber stamp election one time,so the difference between iran with its regular elections and political parties is quite striking in fact, indeed one would have to be blind not to see the differences

At least treat others with a bit of respect, because we are not all deluded you know. Which political parties in a theocratic state like it is in Iran are truly independent and free to condemn the regime's criminal actions and negligence? I suppose you think the Tavileh majles of Khameini is a real parliament? I hope you realize that by simply throwing a torn piece of paper into a ballot box doesn't constitute a real democracy. Most people are forced to vote because it is registered on their card. I personally think what is happening in Iran is very dishonest at the least which really goes beyond charlatanism. As I said in my previous post, the islamic theocracy is fully based on arabic ideology and justice system of the bedouin.Which basically doesn't tolerate any real opposition and is willing to dispose all comers to maintain its wretched life for months at a time.

Most iranians dont seem to agree with you and as for your laughable assertion that iranians are "forced" to vote wouldnt you then expect to see 100% voter turnouts, such as we saw in saddams arab baath dictatorship, instead of the 70+% turnout for the last election, which by the way is as good as if not better than many western democracies, frankly if you still cant tell the difference between irans islamic democracy and the arab dictatorships be they monarchies or republics then you must be blind

I didn't know that you are a representative of "most iranians"! I've had this discussion with you before, but you seem to repeat yourself as usual. How many times have I mentioned to you that there is no such oxymoron terminology as an "islamic democracy"? Was khameini voted into power? Of course not, because he is a islamic dictator for life. The rest of the so-called "islamic democracy" is just a show with no substance. As I said, the regime in place in Iran is based upon a arab bedouin cultural idiology, that places a illiterate akhoond dictator for life into a position of power to oppress and rape the country at will. This is what a backward regime of akhoonds mean by "Azadi". And calling me "blind" won't change the above mentioned realities one single iota.

  5. Exactly- in 1979 Emirates didn't even exist yet. Iran Air should have been the one to inaugurate service with A380 to Dubai and the US. Iran Air was a pioneer in flying long haul from the Middle East to USA with the 747 SP, when regional countries were just dreaming of catching up.
