Rouhani to Push for Nuclear Deal

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Monday that his administration was determined to strike a nuclear deal with P5+1.

“Some people may not like to see the sanctions lifted,” Rouhani said. “Their numbers are few, and they want to muddy the waters.” (The New York Times, 15 December)

“The overwhelming majority of our nation – intellectuals, academics, theologians, the greats and the leadership – are in favor of getting the sanctions removed,” Rouhani added.
