Nuclear Talks in Montreux

Iranian and U.S. negotiators concluded a series of intensive talks in the Swiss city of Montreux on Wednesday, amid speculations that some progress were made during these rounds of talks.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said they had made progress, but a lot of work remains. Reuters also quoted a senior U.S. official as saying that nuclear deal with Iran is no sure thing: “Have made some progress, but a lot of challenges ahead.”

The two sides will resume bilateral talks on 15 March, which are expected to be held in Geneva. Iran and P5+1 have a self-imposed 31 March deadline to announce a framework agreement.
