Critics of Iran Deal Should Hold Fire – Kerry

Secretary of State John Kerry urged congressional opponents of an emerging nuclear deal with Iran to “hold their fire” until they see a final agreement later this year. Kerry told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the administration should be free to negotiate without interference until the 30 June deadline for the final agreement. Kerry added that Iran deal critics were wrong before and are wrong now.

“I would remind you that people have the same dueling narratives, discrepancies, spin – whatever you want to call it – with respect to the interim agreement, Bob,” Kerry told Face the Nation’s Bob Schieffer. “But in the end, an interim agreement came out exactly as we had described, and what’s important is Iran has not only signed it but has lived up to it in every aspect.” (CBS, 12 April)

Kerry should also remind them to hold their fire because if they don't do it the other option will be less nasty for US, Iran, Israel and actually the entire region. Days are gone when Iran's security was entirely dependent on the mercy of the imperial forces...so they should look at the option before criticizing the diplomat....

The Qajars certainly sold parts of Iran so that they can go on foreign holidays. At that time the British controled banking and trade. This was due to Nassereldeen Shah who made that traitoures agreement with Queen Victoria. In some respects the present regime also reminds me of the Qajar era.Time will tell how traitorously this regime gave Irans rights away through political deception and lies.

Anon 6:55, And after Mosadegh nationalized our oil in 1951, M.R. Pahlavi gave it right back to the Bristish in exchange for his throne back through Operation Ajax. The nationalization of our oil was finally complete in 1979 when it should have been in 1951.
In this deal, Iran's nuclear program is 100% Iranian owned and run. No concessions were made to feoreigners running or profiteering from it like Duke or Westinghouse would have done when the Shah was trying to start a nuclear program.
